A little background info for you DSMTALK.com pimps. Last weekend there was a huge car cruise around here...we're talking about 3 miles totally packed with about 4 lanes total. Plenty of pimping went on, and I got a few numbers. Anyways, it is a 3 day event and over the weekend, my phone was eventually packed full of late night booty call possibilities. Blah blah blah...
I call this chic, talk a few times, take her out. I thought I knew who she was and what she looked like...but fuck was I wrong. She was decent, but not the kind of girl I would drive around during the daytime in my car. Anyways, I couldn't back out, so we went and saw Fast and the Furious..hoping the dim lights would conceal. Along the way to the god awful movie, I was doing around 70mph on the highway when I notice some headlights *very* quickly approaching. Looked Z-28-esque. As I pulled into the right lane, I notice the familiar lines of a C5 and proceeded to go along my own ways until he bluntly punched it. I've raced manual C5's before and they have been damn even. This was definately an AUTO, and by the time I realized I didn't want this one to sneak away, he had about 5 cars on me. My BOV has the worst compressor surge in the world, due to some RTV stupidity, and I don't like to be in the boost, but this was necessary. I eventually matched his speed by doing a 3rd gear redline run and shifting to 4th netted me slowly gaining on him. By the time 130 came and went, I was basically door to door with him, but I think he was slowing down on the top end, as his brake lights came on..I think he coasted for a second.
I really didn't think I would pull like that..my car felt slow, but I'm really certain he was giving it his all. He did do a ricer like 140mph flyby about a mile up the road acting like he got me. LOL.
