Are all automatic FWD transmissions the same?? and will i need an exact year transmission for a 94 2.0 non turbo?

you guys are some big helps, ill just do the 5-speed convertion on the car, Ive never have an auto so why would I start now.

the turbo fwd and non turbo fwd have different gear ratio's! O i just noticed you asked about the automatic! im not sure never owned one! just do the conversion!!

Trannies are the same except for one plug change in 92. But yes, you should convert to 5-spd. Autos are sloooooow.

Hey don't diss the autos man. The're are a lot more things that can go wrong with a 5 speed than an automatic.

I was being sarcastic. Have you checked my sig? I just like promoting that autos are slow so that the ignorant will continue to believe that. You know how many times I've been to the track and some idiot looks in my car and says "oh, it's an auto, it's slow!" then see me run a 10 effortlessly and crowd my car when I come back to the staging lanes? The looks on their faces are priceless. Full interior, stereo, amps, big ass speaker box in the hatch, stock intake, etc. My car looks like maybe a 14sec car if you look past the 3065 :D . So let people think that autos are "slow", it just works in my favor in competitions and the occasional street race. Great money maker.
