We are redoing the DSMtalk.com header and need high quality, high resolution photos of your car to make it happen. We will select 2 vehicles to be featured in the header, we are looking for a 2G Eclipse and a 1G Talon, though all submissions will be considered.

Please post up to 3 high resolution photos in this thread (a thumbnail image with a link to the large version (800x600 or above) would be welcome).

We will choose the winning photos and implement them in the header, the people who own the vehicles featured in the photos will receive $100 each -- so please do not submit photos that you do not own the rights too. By competing you acknowledge that you own the photo(s) and grant us rights to use them in the header.

Yea I put them on back in January. Made the first set of mounting plates myself, but I can barely see the passenger mirror in their current location. They also sit forward of the windshield which personally bugs me so I'm moving them back onto the door skins sort of like a mazda RX7's mirrors. I'm even thinking about seeing if I can get someone to cut down the stalks on them and re-weld them so they don't stick out so far.

Yup, very rare limited edition wheels. They are super light, I was told my 17x7's weigh 14lbs each.

I painted them black last spring after I picked them up dirt cheap, still in their original boxes.

I know that this is not exactly according to rules and very late, but, as the leader of DSM Club of Latvia I think I have a right to represent my fellow members, since most aren't registered on DSMTalk and have asked me to enter their cars on their behalf.

The story is - we were making a calendar/yearbook with Latvian DSMs + Latvian models. This didn't really come through for 2008, so we're thinking reusing these pics for 2009 or maybe not at all. The front mount which is on there is a Dejon kit. As for the grill piece, its just a alluminum mesh grill and I powdercoated it black, usually from far away its barely noticeable.

But I can clear it up for you if needed.... :)

Verticalscope has changed admins (employees) several times since this thread was started. All of their guys use the same "Administrator" login, and they generally don't post much anyway... so you'd have no way of knowing when they change people. But they have.

Verticalscope in all likelyhood is not doing a damn thing regarding new site graphics using the car pics posted in this thread. It's been 10 months and there are plenty of pics in here... but no word from VS.

Thread closed. In a few days, it will be swept away to some type of under-the-rug or behind-the-couch area.

Sorry this got everybody all worked up and turned out to be a bust.

But guess what... there's still the Featured Car competition! Now THAT is a great way to get your car on the front page of DSMtalk.... :D :D
