I currently using a safc 2 and a wideband to tune my car with 680s and meth injection. I got a old laptop and my car has a eprom, but I think its runs great with with the safc and 680s. But I have my eye on the JMF smim which looks sick! What should I get? BTW my car still has the 7bolt with 150k with a FP green.

DSMLink, sell AFC and save a few bucks and then get the JMF SMIIM.

Dsmlink without a doubt.

Will my car run that much better?

DSMLink without a second thought.

You will be able to tune the car much better than with an SAFC

Dsmlink without a doubt.

Absolutely.

A good tuning / logging tool will always pay dividends over shiny parts.

I bet your car will be faster if you put on dsmlinkthen if you put on a smim. And it will run better.

Guess I will have a safc for sale soon.

You think your car runs good now...
...it'll run 2 times better with Link.

Is it hard to use? I never actually seen any dsmlink logs or anything.

It's not hard once you get used to it(which doesn't take long). And it is nowhere close to as hard as aem.

GET THE LINK!!! I bet you'll be so happy with dsmlink that you'll want to wait for the SMIM. At least for another week :P

DSMlink hands down! Get dsmlink, a wideband and map sensor and be amazed at how much better your car runs. Those three things and you have serious tuning power. You also gete access to the link fourm which is top notch too.

What do you mean by map sensor?

Well it seems like this thread is a wrap but I got to put my .02 on this...
I have both. They are both awesome. DSMLink without out a doubt is the right choice.
You are going to need Link to take full advantage of the JMF. Your car will pick up some decent gains with link alone.

Yeah dude check out the screen shots of link tuning its like made user dumb! Lol I couldn't believe how easy it looks (never used it yet).

Plus with the smim you don't really benefit much from unless you have supporting mods because I'm pretty sure that would take away from your bottom end power if I am right.

Just curious to what turbo you are running?

Map sensor is the GM 3.3 bar sensor which allows you to log boost via DSMLink.

DSMLink is hands down the best mods I ever did on my car.

I agree with getting the DSMLink. But I don't suggest getting the GM 3.3 bar sensor, rather, get the AEM 5 bar map sensor so you do not have to upgrade in the future! At least that's the one I run.

If you get the AEM 5 bar make sure you check that it has the correct firmware.

GM 3.3bar is fine unless you plan on running more that 39psi. These were tested and flatlined at 39psi IIRC.

I have logged 36.xpsi (attch.) on mine in my car.

PLUS, it's cheaper.

I agree with the rest. DSMlink would be a good (first) mod for you. ;)

MAP= Manifold absolute pressure sensor

You can log it in Dsmlink to see what your boost is at at any rpm. So this will tell you how your car spools also without having to look at the boost guage and tach. It also makes it easier to tune he car.

DsmLink, just like everyone else said.

I just hate buying stuff and having to upgrade in the future. Plus then he can run ULTIMATE BOOST and log it..HAHA.
