Ok not sure if this is in the right forum or not but i need some help quick. At wot (in any gear) my egt reads no higher than 1450, my o2's shoot right up to 1.3 yes 1.3. And at 12-13 psi i get detonation and i have no idea why. My fuel pressure is at 36 psi at idle, not sure about on boost but with that o2 reading it should be getting way more than enough fuel. Here's my mods.
3" intake, K&N filter
hacked mas with flapper door
3" Full exhaust, no cat
ported intake, head, exhaust mani, turbo and 02 housing
2.5 upper + lower ic piping FMIC
no balance shafts
fuel pump rewire, 3/8 i/d fuel line
14b turbo with MBC set @17 psi

how do you know you are getting detonation? reading spark plugs is a good way.
if you are getting a 1.3, i would say first pressurize your intake, check ic for cracks, leaks, check all coupling and check bov is down tight.
1.3 is ungodly rich.
i thought my 1.02 was fat, its down to .95 now after fixing boost leaks.
go check for intake leaks.

Do you have a TMO? Also it does sound like a likely canidate for intake leaks...

Checked fro intake leeks 2 days ago, had one injector that was leeking a little at 15 psi and i fixed that. I know im detonation cause i turn everything off and listen for it, and i am for sure getting detonation. No as of yet i have no tunning tools ( datalogger or safc) There not that cheap or easy to get in Alberta. Thanks for the reply though.

Sounds like you are running too rich. I logged my car and was getting fairly high knock counts. I too had low EGT's. I leaned it out with the S-AFC and found that knock went down. I leaned it out more until EGT's started to creep up again.

Ok i'll try leaning it uot by hooking the fuel pump back up with the stock wiring. And could a bad knock sensor cause this? I haven't replaced it but i've only had the car for a year.

Do you have a laptop? I really don't see a way to get rid of this problem without datalogging. I might have another TMO around here somewhere.....

Ok guys i hooked the stock fuel lines back up to lean things out cause i was running 3/8 i/d line. Didn't do anything, so maybe tomorrow i'll take the injectors out and clean them maybe one or more is sticking at high boost.

I'll see if I can find my old roomates TMO cable then...we both had TMOs.....if I can find it I'd sell you the software and cable for $175.

Went though the whole thing last night and still the same. Hooked up stock fuel lines and cleaned the injectors which are stock. Checked for intake leeks up to 15 psi and none. I have a fmic so i dout it's heat soaked (first pull does it) New plug wires and plugs runs perfect up to 12 psi then bang way to much fuel 02's 1.3 volts and detonation like mad. Anyone want to buy a freshly painted 1g? By the way Nick i have the TMO cable i just need the program.

K guys what do you think about this. I was just talking to one of the techs from the dealer, he said it could be a bad o2 sending fulse readings causing the ecu to lean the fuel out when it shouldn't be. I thoght maybe the knock sensor was toast not detecting knock and advancing timming to much. But the o2 idea sounds right too. Any ideas, I need some input the import drags are tomorrow and i'd kind of like to go. Thanks for all the replys so for and for any future help.

Noone wants to come out and play today? Don't worry got it, the god dam Brand New Snap On timming light was 12 deg to advanced from 0 so my timming was getting set to 20 BTDC at base. Retimed with the $10 light bam my car pulls like a mad man. Still got the high 02 readings 1.15 now but it is a Snap On multimetere i'm using! Thanks for all the effort i'll figure out the 02's when i get a dattalogger.

Hope to. Hooked the beast up to a scan tool tonight (forgot my buddy has access to one) Everything is fine except timming is being pulled back to 13 BTDC at wot 17 psi. The 02 readings on the scan tool say .87 wot (this i would have to say is correct) The only thing i couldn't get out of the tool was knock count. But i think the knock sensor is toast cause i should be getting better timming than that right?

Man, you're running lean now! You shouldn't run anything over 15PSI on the stock pump, rewired or not. 17 PSI is pushing it, you're getting knock and timing is being pulled. Turn the boost down to 15 PSI and your car will be faster.

Any chance you can put a link to your TMO software. I'll trade your for alex pepar and car imports obd-2 scanners
