1993 Eagle Talon TSI

I purchased this car when I was 15 years old, which was 6 years ago. The car was stock with body damage on nearly every panel and it had horribly oxidized paint. Through the next 6 years, my dad and I have brought the Talon to its current state which includes a straight body and the modifications listed below. I personally have put 45k miles on the car with zero accidents and zero tickets, which I do take some pride in as I have made it through the teen years in a quick car unscathed. I plan to continue modifying this car until there is nothing left to modify. I also plan to keep this car around for the rest of my life. I know that sounds weird, but it's been a big part of my life.

The car is my daily driver, and as a college student I can't afford for the car to break, so lately I've been taking it easy (for the most part).

I know what you mean about keeping it the rest of your life. My first car was my '95 GSX, which was bone stock when I bought it. Drove it from ages 18-24 with no accidents but 2 speeding tickets :D I learned everything I know about cars working on it.

Anyways, you've done a great job on yours and there's nothing weird about wanting to keep it the rest of your life.

Congrats on the win! 2g's must be not as cool or something, or they would win ATLEAST once this year.

I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but once I seen ANOTHER 1G win, I couldn't help but to laugh. A lot.

1G's FTW! :D :D

But, close race to Frenchy, his 2G is sexy too! :D

dsms4ever

Contrary to popular thinking, there is no 1g/2g conspiracy. The cards fall where they may.

OP - Congrats on the win. It's a great representation of what a DSM can be.

Ya i like it, Any pics of the back panels?

What gauges are those in your cluster?

dsms4ever

Back panels are just black, no difference but color really. They look alot better black than gray though. Those are speedhut gauge faces.....Stock appearance but they light up blue at night.

Lol at the 2G guys.. Since K Man posted up his 2G months ago, I have yet to see an impressive looking 2G entered in the competition. And externally K Mans car isn't very attractive but his engine bay is badass.

I looked through the hottest 2G thread and there are 2gs in there that would have wiped the floor with the last 3 winners of this competition.

I think the problem we are having is the nicest cars on the site aren't entering the competitions..

But congrats to the 1G reign! :evillaugh:

Very nice car and congrats. I did notice you have a '90 style speedo though. Didnt think you can do that?

dsms4ever

Those are aftermarket gauge faces from speedhut. 100 dollars for just the gauge faces....I forgot to mention them in the interior stuff. But I'm struggling with if i like my way old set up better or the one i currently have no as so much has changed. Here's what it looked like just last summer:

It looks great now, but I think it looked AMAZING in the last summer pics...!

I like the dual tip with the 1gb Talon rear...

dsms4ever
08-20-2008, 10:49 PM
Oh, don't worry, I'm going back to the dual tips, the only reason i switched was because with those there was no muffler, it was just straight piped all the way back so it was super loud but i miss how rumbly it was.
