Putting on my scatter shield ( should be a plus! ), Polishing up the headlights, polishing up ALL of the aluminum and plan on getting some new photos taken this month and hopefully have a 10 sec time slip to accompany the car's info :D

I'm not saying Yellow's car wasn't nice and sexy, but he changed it too much. Change the paint back to that gloss yellow, change the engine bay back to what it was before, and change the rims, then it would have gotten my vote by far.

I knew when I saw YellowTSI's car it would be close but man, I think I checked the numbers at least 50 times a day watching them go back and forth and it was stressful. Up until Monday I thought, " OMG I have a chance! " but he pulled into the lead and kept gaining a little at a time. At one point yesterday he had a 12 point lead I believe it was but I narrowed it down to 9 behind.

It was a good battle, he has a crap load of time, effort, money and love into that car of his. One thing I do think that would finally finish off that car is a good set of rims and tires, once that is done, that car could very well be Car of the Year.

Again, YellowTSI, Congrats man, I could not have lost to a better car!

Next year though.. I am :tat: for you! :eek: ;) :D

Thanks again. Its always awesome to win things and get voted by the DSMTalk public to be on the sites front page. It has been a long time since I have driven the car. There has been many times I have contemplated on giving it up. But its a community like this with so many good people that give me motivation to keep building.

I was at a car show two weeks ago and I came in second place. I was very happy with that. Did not expect it at all. There are a few more things I want to do with the car: I want to be in the 100mph club as I have never taken this car to the track and I would love to go to a few SCCA and HPDE events. The car seems to be a well rounded street/weekend warrior car. I will dig for some more build pics.

I disagree. I like EE's car but when it comes to overall cleanliness and neatness I think yellow's car takes the cake. That's why he got my vote...er well, I accidentally voted for the black 1g but I meant to vote for this one. I dont know how I managed that one. v.v

If your talking to me, yes there FD3S wheels and they weigh 11lbs a piece.
I cant remember how much stock wheels weigh but Im sure its at least a 8-9lb weigh saving per corner, and what makes it a bigger deal is the fact that its rotational mass thats being dropped.
Ive seen them painted black, but I think painting them gun metal gray would look even better ( depending car of course.)
