I'm not sure exactly how far this build will go or how often I'll work on it, as I have another project on the front burner. But I thought I'd share this one here.
A friend of mine named Roy had a rather beat up old Dodge Ram 50 (aka Mighty Max) that he used for occasional errands. It didn't get much in the way of maintenance, and he was pretty much planning to drive it until the wheels fell off.
So, one Sunday when it's threatening to rain, I get a call from Roy. Sure enough, he'd had one of the wheels fall off. More specifically, a front ball joint was broken and the wheel was flopping around on the upper control arm. And the police had been complaining that his truck was sitting on someone else's property on the side of the road. So Roy asked if I wanted the truck, as is, where is.
Of course, I agreed. So I put a new ball joint on it, right there on the side of the road, just before the rain hit. And we brought the truck up to work to use as a shop truck. I've been slowly rebuilding the suspension so as to make it a safer driver. Here's some pictures of the truck.

That last engine shot may not look all that recognizable, but it's a 4G63 with a single cam head. Naturally, I've been researching what it will take to put the later DSM motor in there. :)
