I will be offering powdercoating services.
Right now I can do objects up to the size of a 16" wheel.
We will be using Columbia Coatings powder for our powder and ceramic supplier.
In stock right now, I have supper mirror gloss black, high temp 1000 degree satin black (great for compressor housings, brake calipers, ect) and a 2000 degree ceramic satin black coating.
More powders will be in stock soon, including a wrinkled black finish.
Of course I can special order any powder you would like.
Got Insulin?

Now for some prices
Keep in mind that if your looking for 100% show quality parts, or large parts, JNZ might be a little better for you. They have an actual booth to keep dirt ect from getting onto the parts and can do much larger items than I can, and are using a much better gun.
With the setup I'm using, theres a possibility of getting some small specs ect in the powdercoated finish. I would say the wheels look great from 5 feet away, but up close looking from 12" away, you can see a couple of specs of dust ect in them.
Were just a couple of guys doing this because we love cars and want give some back to the community.
Wheels will be an "we need to see them to give a full quote" some complicated rims may be a little extra.

Stuff liked 17" wheels and bigger won't fit in the oven I used to bake the powder.
I'm working on getting a propane powered infrared heater to do larger stuff, but it may be a little while before i get that set up.
Thanks for the compliment on my work, I would simply rather work on powdercoating and hooking up DSM'ers than work more at my "other" job, so thats why the good prices. :D

OP, I am interested in the ceramic coating, but almost every tubular manifold I have seen, the coating has flaked off. It usually turns into a dust and brushes right off. I would really like to get my dnp manifold coated, but I am worried about it being a waste of money for me if it brushes off in a couple hundred miles. Can you please give me some insight on the ceramic coatings and how to prevent the coating from coming off? Thanks.

I have several parts in the field being tested out on turbo cars. One on pimpzachy's 97 GSX, and another on a friends MR2 turbo. We shall see how they hold up under repeated turbo abuse.
I believe a lot of the problems come from poor prep. If the part isn't prepped right, the coating will not stick to it.

The "chrome" is actually how reflective the super mirror gloss black is, the flash kind of drowns it out on the front.
The six lug is what I was talking about. I guess GM wanted to make sure no one could put wheels on a CTS-V.

Do you coat inside manifolds too?
Yes we do. The one pictured is coated inside & out, but just looked dirty in the pictures. The only time we don't is when some one requests that the inside of their manifold not be coated.
What would be the benefit of coating the inside?
ippkiss
01-17-2009, 09:37 AM
Putting it on the inside & outside doubles the amount of ceramic material on the part, insulating the part that much more. The goal with ceramic is to keep heat in the exhaust, not making your engine bay 400 degrees.

Awesome! Can't wait to get everything back!
And just a side note for everyone, Justin is a great guy to deal with. I haven't even gotten my stuff back and I know that I will be doing business with him again. I have had some minor problems regarding shipping, and something coming off of my valve cover, and he took it to a welder and had it fixed at his own cost. VERY stand up guy, I can't wait to see how everything else turns out.

NIC Starburst aquarius over ink black (NIC colors may have a small surcharge due to the price of powder, please contact us for a quote).
I can not possibly show how good this powder looks in a picture. its a gloss black with metal flakes that color change depending on what angle you look at the part (not different colors of flakes) from green to blue to purple. It looks very good, and I recommend anyone interested in it order the color swatch in from NIC to see it in person (free of charge).

Just read through most of this thread, man those are some cool looking parts. The aquarius valve color looks sick. I am curious how you choose the base color for dual-finish jobs. Any idea what aquarius would look like with chrome base? I don't know if it's the picture but it looks a tad on the dark side with the black underneath. Could you PM me pricing on getting a valve cover done like that? I do have an extra one... curious how much it costs after prepping, coating and shipping. I'm in NJ, 08850.
