Sold the old green 2g and picked up a new project. The Plans for this is to be a very fast street car that I may even daily drive if its nice out. Under body is spectacular, it was a Florida car.
Mods currently that it has:
-10pt cage
- Shearer fab intercooler
- Moroso battery box
- Supra fuel pump rewired
- -8an from tank to rail
- Aeromtoive FPR, Aeromotive fuel filter
- ABS Delete, 4 bolt rear LSD, No sun/moon
Currently am waiting on my suspension to arrive so I can throw it on and have it sit on the ground with the wheels that you will see in the next update.
Currently waiting for my suspension to come in the mail so I can get it on the ground with the new wheels.
Motor will be going in it pretty soon whenever I order a engine gasket set to fix some leaks on the motor.

Why did you give up on the 2g?
b00stedtalon2
10-11-2008, 01:01 PM
Why did you give up on the 2g?
It had some under body rust I did not want to deal with. Plus the 1g already came caged and I just love black 92's. :D
Sebba
10-11-2008, 01:02 PM
Thats a fairly damn good reason.
You strip it before you sold it? Or sold it with motor etc...
b00stedtalon2
10-11-2008, 01:56 PM
I kept pretty much anything that I could use for the 1g. Motor/trans/ems/ etc..

The reason why the car was sold, the body damage. Here's a pic, just need to fix the quarter panel dent, a new door, fender, and mirror and she is back to its mint'ness.

Got the engine on the stand today. Mocked up the turbo to make sure it fits with the 1g motor mount bracket. It does by less than a cm o_O. Just waiting for my engine gasket kit to come in the mail so I can put this thing back together and drop it in.
And don't worry, that valve cover is very temporary lol

I don't consider going to a COP a "step up" It's actually a downgrade from a stock ignition unless you have an ignition system, and even then it's about the same as stock.

Our stock ignitions are one of the best setups out there.
The benefit of COP comes in direct-fire configurations. I went over 600whp on stock ignition and still didn't see any spark blowout.

Transmission is installed and turbo is on. Need to go and pick up some 4" piping for my intake and exhaust.
Also am waiting for some AN fittings and line in the mail for my oil return and fuel feed. Need to buy injectors and a radiator and some other small odds and ends. Well I've been doing little odds and ends on it getting it ready to be driven.
Here's a little self note pad of things that need to be bought and be done.
Need to buy:
- 44mm wastegate
- drive shaft insulators
- coolant
- pennzoil syncromesh
Work that needs to be done:
- inspect fuel leak at AN connection
- install pass axle
- install driveshaft/t-case
- bleed brakes/clutch
- make lower intercooler pipe
Once i get most of this done I will take it for its first drive and get a video.

b00stedtalon2
12-05-2008, 12:11 PM
Yep, clutch wasn't disengaging all the way so I adjusted it. Shifts perfect into every gear now.
And for anyone doing a 2g trans in a 1g. No modification to any of the shifter assembly or cables or shifter levers is required!! I read a lot about having to swap out the shifter levers or bending the 2g one up. I simply bolted the cables right onto the trans without the 1g riser plate, and it shifts like stock. The trick is to sliding the cables over the levers first THEN bolting the bracket down to the trans.
Took it the gas station in this shitty weather. I won't be driving it anymore until its nice.

Hehe the car won't be seeing any real boost until spring. I am on the stock injectors and on a stock base map currently. In spring it will see straight E85 with 1600's. I did push the throttle a bit around 4.5k or so and hit 4 or 5 psi then let off. It felt like a fast 14b car :)
I haven't done too much with the body yet. All I need to do is replace the fender, door, and pull a single dent in the quarter panel. I will probably get on that in spring as well.

You change engine setups more times than I change clothes it seems lol. Why the downgrade?
b00stedtalon2
01-03-2009, 01:03 AM
Well.. I sold the setup because this GST was an amazing deal off a close friend I couldn't pass up. The left over cash, was just enough for a 14b haha.

if I where you, i'd have gotten the gst, and left the black car alone..you know you are just gonna sell the 14b and get something bigger later anyway..

I may be selling this GST in spring for a nice profit, and re-investing into the black car.

Well that didn't last long. Just got back from trading the GST for a 95 tsi awd that needs a lower end. It will get the motor/trans out the 1g. Not sure what I am going to do with the 1g lol.
Here is how she sits except it has some black Motegi wheels on it. I'll get pics of it on my driveway tomorrow.

I totally understand why you're selling the 1G now. I take back what I said in the FS thread about blasphemy, lol. Sweeeeeet pickup.

Maybe later, i think its pretty hot with the wing.

Fuck going wingless.
Seriously going wingless is the new fad. Bottom line is the car was designed with it, and it looks better with it. Just because you don't like wings...

I have no choice but to keep this car and actually follow through with it. My parents have gone absolutely nuts with all the buying and trading dsm's haha.
I AM KEEPING THIS CAR AND STICKING WITH IT. If i didn't, both my buddy who owned the red car and my parents would most likely shoot me.
I am selling the 1g so I can invest in a decent turbo setup that isn't overkill like the last one.
BostinSwifty38

overkill? that's in the eyes of the beholder.
PLEASE part the black car..I need front fenders bad!!!

What is on the red one, is it just stock. By the way I think that the red one is sexy, is their snow by you guys anywhere because in the picture it looks like fall.
b00stedtalon2
01-05-2009, 02:53 PM
Def not stock, but I don't feel like listing everything. That picture was taken in fall at the previous owners house.

I don't know what it is about your cars, but they all seem to have the same sort of gangster feel to them. Keep it up. Better start a new thread hah.

Figured id try out the new punishment racing 2g short route fmic kit. It's a true bolt on kit unlike the SSAC kit, and requires zero and I mean ZERO modification (unless you plan on running a non turbo throttle body and different BOV like me)

Here are my plans for the red car which will start happening in summer.. possibly.
AEM EMS
Mitsu bolt on GT35 or possibly one of the FP series turbos.
1600cc injectors
E85
All 4 solid aluminum motor mounts (currently on a group buy) :D
Supra pump or Bosch 044
Car is already equipped with full -8an from tank to rail with Aero. FPR
Nothing too crazy, but should be lots of fun!
Sebba
01-21-2009, 12:56 PM
I would advise against E85

Care to explain? I've done a lot of research and a few of my friends run it as well, seems to be pretty good.

I've talked to a local tuner here in the area and he doesn't advise using AEM EMS with E85 since the blends can change and the AEM can't compensate like the stock ECU can or something.
And Sebba says that because he thinks E85 is going to be gone remotely soon. It's going strong with us Midwesterners.

Did that happen to be Shane at DB? I have an AEM EMS, and I am tuned on E-85, but we also experimented with my map (though, it's nothing that special)
