Hey, I bought a 95 talon tsi awd, acouple months ago, drives well and everything till a week ago the heat gave out on me, so I took it to the mechanic to get my heat back and they told all this stuff was wrong with the car, it ended up being close to $3000 to fix everything, and that I should just sell the car. I just walked out, not getting anything fixed, just wondering if anyone had free time if they could take a look at my car, my cars completely stock and I dont beat on it, Im pretty sure they were just trying to scam me but Id like to make sure. Thanks alot for your time.

What did the mechanic tell you what it needed?

Do you know where NJIT is? Looks very close to you on the map. If you can drive it over I could give it a quick look.

Sounds like a general DSM to me. Bring it to the shop for one thing and they end up telling you 50 other things wrong with your car lol. If the heat is your only problem why didn't you just tell them you wanted the heat fixed and ignore everything else?

Cant remember everything he said, but I needed new brakes, rotors, shocks, struts, oil gauge, valve cover gasket, and acouple other things, and the reason I didnt get the heat fixed because they wanted $1500+ alone for that, which seems a bit too much, they said my wires are completely rotted out and I needed a whole new heating and AC system, tho my AC works.
