Everyone. I know this is a late post but i'm not a regular on this site. I have compiled several posts from ORLDSM.com
I have had several partys at the house and it's time for another. This time we are going to have a poker run starting late morning and ending at my place with the winner getting a shaved and powdercoated valve cover any color I have at home. He or She will have the oppertunity to do the powdercoating themselves if they want to try. I will also have the garage open and everyone can have a hand at welding, Mig and Gas steel and aluminum. On the Big screen in the house we will be screening Fast and Furious 1 and 4. At about 7 I'll start cooking up 20 lbs of Hooters Style wings for a snack. About 10pm we will all drive up to the local Sonic where all the Cruisers hang out. This is happening June 20. Anyone needing an address pm me and I'll send it to you. I have had people from as far away as Washington DC and Ashville NC. It has always been a good time.

The first card will be delt between 10:00 -10:30 at Sonic,the second will be delt between 11:00 - 11:30 at the fountain, the third will be delt between 12:30-1:00 at the Fort, The forth will be delt at the park between 2:30-400 and the last at my house between 5:00- 5:30. The winner will be awarded the Unfinished shaved valvecover at 5:45 and we will Powdercoat it then along with welding instruction and just playing with the tools in the garage. I'll start cooking wings at 7:00 and we will head to the back yard for some relaxation. At 10:00 we can return to Sonic and show off the DSM's.

I moved the time up 1 hr to allow more time at the beach for those coming from inland locations, North and South Carolina, Tennessee. They don't get much chance to get to the beach. I hope it's not to much of an inconvienence.
I was running behind last evening and didn't have time to give details of the Poker Run stops. Sonic on beach blvd will be a place to grab a bite of breakfast for those not staying at my place.( I have the pleasure of cooking breakfast for my guests ).
The fountain in downtown Jacksonville is one of the largest fountains in the world and there is plenty of parking for a lot of DSM's. And a nice photo backdrop.
The third stop is Fort Caroline. An early settelment Fort on the St Johns river. It also has plenty of parking and has some interesting walking trails and will be a nice stopping point on our way to the beach.
The forth stop Hanna Park. Also plenty of parking and a nice Beach area. I put some extra time there because some of the out of towners get little time at the beach.
Then the party at my place.
We have done a photo shoot the Sunday after Beer and Wings the last couple of times, I'm sure this will be no exception although I have no planned site as of this date.
