Should be a good day and I like the fact its Mitsu Vs. Suby. The only bad thing is it's the day after Honda day so there will most likely be left overs :rolleyes:

A convoy is a group of vehicles (of any type, but usually motor vehicles or ships) traveling together for mutual support and protection.

I think that pretty much covers it. Nothing but fun will happen with a convoy of prone-to-break cars.

Meet is August 16th. I'm thinking we'll meet at the Deptford Mall around 9am, get some food, and head out. Any suggestions are welcome, first time planning a convoy.

The car should be good for 11s. but I will make sure it will run one before it gets there. I poped off a 12.4@115 letting off because the sun roof took a trip! :dunno:

If you look very closely at the upper left corner of the oil pan, you'll find some chunks up there. The crank is actually not that bad. It'll require some tweaking, of course, but it is saveable. We were fortunate to catch this at idle as opposed to 9,500 where I shift.

Yes, we're missing out on all the things you've mentioned. Unfortunately things came together where there were two events in one day, and choices had to be made. Enjoy yourself at the Shootout. There will be plenty of fast cars there. Take lots of pictures and post your Shootout stories. Everyone needs to put their bash bats away. These posts are like old divorced couples that can't get over each other. 4 days before each event and we're all still bitching and bashing one event or the other.

Just got off the phone with Chris at DogboxRacing. He informs me that they had some mechanical problems, but should have the car back together by tomorrow and should make it down for Sunday.

Haven't been able to confirm Rau's absence either.
Rau is out due to mechanical problems. DogBox will be there. I'd put money on it. They aren't afraid to bust their ass to get it done.

I feel your pain. I did the same thing a few months ago. Worst trip ever! DOT pulled me over trying to say I'm overweight & I smashed a caravan's side view sitting in door to door, bumper to bumper traffic. No one wants to give you an inch.

So I had fun today. Except for the part where they wouldn't let me make my pass because of being late. They said they were going to wait for me. I wasn't but what 5 minutes... So I was dropped from the street 16.

Damn man, I thouht it was you. My tent was right next to yours too in the pits. That and when one of the cars busted on the track and you were stuck sitting under the bridge I walked up there but the second I got there they started racing again. You car is sick man, definetly one of my favorites at the show.

OH! I forgot to mention this awesome occurance. I woke up at 6am to prep the car at the hotel sunday morning. I decided to go out on the main road (hiway 18) to do a pull and see where the a/f was at. Roads were empty at 6am on a sunday and thought ok, I'll be fine. Well as I was headed back to the hotel I did one last pull and guess what? Yup a cop was chillin about 1/4 mile back in the left lane and got me. Ended up getting a carless driving ticket $85/2pts. He said since I was polite he didnt write me for speeding but he had no clue how was I was going becasue he just heard the car. Oh well... Still got the car tuned decent...:P and NY doesnt accept points from other states so all I need to do is plead quilty, pay 85 bucks and I'm still cruising with a clean license.

Had a great time out there as well yesterday. I may have turned in my DSM owners certificate but I still enjoy seeing all the clean examples that members bring out to events like this.

All I can say is how about next year this is scheduled a little wiser. I missed an awesome show because someone had to show someone their dick is the same size..We (as a whole community) missed out because of it.
