A few weeks ago, i have heard from my friends, that this interga was spose to be so fast , he claims to run mid 12s all motor. He wanted to put 500 dollars agaist my eclipse. I only go down to iowa may be once a month and he had seen my eclipse down there.

Well next week comes, I meet up with him at a wedding. He was in his group of hondas. I roll in the parking lot trying not to let my blow off valve go off. They look at my car, scan my wheels, interior and said thats all you got. I've had taken off my gtr wing, and 17 inch rims a month ago for a sleeper look. I had stock wheels with nitto drag radials, may be 1 inch lowerd.

we got into a argument about how much money to put down, his friend wanted to put 1 grand, finally we said forget it and race to see who can claim fame.We left the parking lot to go race, this time as i roll out, i mashed the pedal so the crowd can hear my turbo whine up and hks bov going off.

we roll up to this two lane street (speed limit may be 35mph) with a few industrial buildings. No stop lights so he wanted a flager, i was like hell no , i let you take off first. He revs his engine drop the clutch, and he was off, a car length in front of me. I rev my engine drop clutch at 3500rpm, tire screerches, grips , then i floor it ( drag radials are awesome on street). I got along side off him, pop it in 2nd gear, grind miss gear (crappp!!! dang mitsu trannys), he was a good 2 car lenghts in front of me by the time i got into gear. Heheh then i flipped the switch hidden under my steering wheel colum, and floor it. I flew right pass him, it felt like i double his speed. I granny shifted in to third about 6 car lenghts in front of him, and pull farther away. I reach about 110mph in 4th gear and I was a good 2 1/2 semi truck(18wheeler)lengths in front of him.

When we got back to the wedding, the guy had the most pale face ever. I was shaking to when we got back (never use 100hp shot of NOS in a small two lane road). the guy probley only had intake and exhuast, headers, thought he was top dawg cause he can beat a few slow v-8s.

My mods: xs b\c set 17psi, hks bov, 2 1\2" custom cat-back, 2 1/2" custom downpipe, 2 1/2" testpipe, b&m f/p regulator,K&N filter, Accell 8mm wires, 255lph pump, skunkworks/kybshocks, stutbrace, 100hp shot NOS wet system, nitto 555r, other small interior guages and things i forgot to list. best track time 13.7 , best mph 104.6, 2.1 60ft ,on hot humid day.

thanks for reading my long story, in a race its not what your car looks like, its whats in it. No i havnet blown my motor with NOS, ive gone trough 4 bottles of NOS with 100hp shot, just don't run lean

Sweet!
Too bad you did'nt let him wager the cash, then you'd have the win and the loot. So have you had any problems with your 100 shot wet? i was running 80 wet with no problems, but i figured 100 would be too big to use a wet, i thought direct port would be needed.

mine its not a direct port, i have nozzle on my trottle body elbow. I haven't had any problems, it runs prefect, no miss fires. But.... my oil seals in my turbo just went out. NOS makes the turbo boost faster, my boost spiked some times 19psi when i hit it at 2000rpm. My turbo was going out since i purchuse the car last year, i had oil shooting out of my BOV.

good luck with the nos. The 100hp shot jets where back order from NOS, THe parts store just drill my 50 shot to 100hp shot.

Wow, sweet kill bro. Do you have any pictures/videos of your car?
By the way, the 13.7 1/4mile time you mentioned, is that with or without NOS?

Sorry, i don't have any pictures of the car. Its just looks like a 99 GS with no wing , Its the darker red color

Its a 97 Eclipse GST FWD 13.7 secs with NOS, i bet on a good day i can run low 13s. my stock turbo is out so, i am going to upgrade to a big16g. It should make it 12s then on drag radials

thanks

thanks Dude! With a 100 shot and your mods you should already be in the high 12's. Hell I have seen posted times of 13.6 to 14.0 1/4 times with what mods I have and the stock T-25. I myelf have been thinking about putting a 50 shot wet kit on my car and if that was all you were able to get times wise, then no nos for me. I would rather upgrade to a larger turbo. You must have something wrong some where. Cause even if you were just stock 210 hp + 100 shot = 310 hp at the crank, that should be at least good for low 13's on a good launch.

Speedy, I know i can hit high 12s but.... I cant power shift with my car cause my clutch heats up so bad, it dont want to disgage. I was granny shifting.

Also, its been really humid and hot up here, i did that run around 90 degress. It wasnt a really busy day, so they didnt spray alot of traction compound on the track.

Im sure if its a nice cool day, and a good track i can easly run a 12 sec

thanks Shitzu

thanks Shitzu Yeah! I understand where your coming from now. Just wondering about the 100 shot cause I like nitrous because of being on a tight budget. But every time the nitrous subject is brought up people have told me not to run more than a 50 to 75 shot is your kit by NOS? Also is it activated by wide open throttle? And last do you have any other safety precautions hooked up with it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I bet that thing would come alive with a good clutch.

Redline TSI what size are your drag radials? Do u still need to feather them out of the hole? What kind of 60 foots do u pull at the track? what size are they? also do u have any suspension mods? thanks
