Just pull out the stock unit (pull the unit, huh huh huh) then either order a bank peice from the factory or tear it out of another car at a junk yard, of cousre. Many cars were only equipted with a radio, and have these peices. Mitsubishi used these in a lot of cars so look around. They are little cubbie hole things. But I'm sure you knew that. I'm sure you can find a TEL somewhere close with one. If not goto satan and order one I think they are like 25 bucks. (last time I heard was like 96or97)

The trim piece around the stock radio will come off- just pry it carefully with a flathead screwdriver. Behind that youll see 4 screws. Unscrew them and the stock stereo will come out. Remove the metal mounting plates from sides of the stock unit and reuse them in the same manner on your new unit. With these plates you can "hard mount" the new unit to help deter theives.

The trim plate that you have is a "double DIN" and you will simply need to go to a junkyard and find a "single DIN" trim plate. Good luck.
