IDRC Event at Palmdale, CA Dec 2-3

A bunch of people from the Bay Area Club DSM are going to be heading down for this event. It should be a great weekend of racing, as (I believe) it is the last event of the season so a lot of money is on the line. Also, my car is going to be on display at the TurboXS booth, so come on down and check it out!

I went last weekend to Battle of the Imports at Palmdale. It's the first time I've been to that track. It wasn't to bad of A drive and I was able to cruise down Los Angeles Crest Highway on the way home. I'm going to be there for the IDRC finals, bring A jacket though it's going to be cold.

How many people are from the Bay Area DSM? If there's gonna be a lot of people, I'm sure most of us San Diego guys might wanna come up there.

Come on up 4G63RYDAH The last time the IDRC was in town it was pretty exciteing, I even saw 2 crashes. Not that its cool to crash but I never saw one at the drag strip before. It just goes to show you that the imports are getting faster and faster. I remember going to the drags and running A 12 second e.t. was fast.

I got a final on that Monday and on Tuesday. So it's safe to say that I won't be there.

I don't think there will be too many sandiegans at palmdale this weekend, most of us will probably be racing at the qualcomm this saturday.

Would it be whorthwhile to come up on sunday to check it out? how much is admission on sunday and what is the timeframe for racing?

I'm thinking of going on Sunday and the admission is 20.00, racing starts at 9:00am and ends ?????? I don't know the diff between the two days but if I can see at least one then that will be cool. So you still in Alex? I am.

im really not sure yet edgar, it depends on how my schedual for sunday looks by tomorrw night. I might be helping out some guys with a clutch.

It was pretty cool today the best times were Able Ibarra's rx7 did A 7.9 ET and his old car did the same time. At one point he even had both cars race against each other. Lots of skylines were there also I guess there is A club of them but only 1 raced and it was pretty weak. A 12 something I believe it must have been bone stock.
