In my quest for the fastest NT auto, I came across an idea.
For real now, seriously how much HP you think i could pull off with these mods.

-Apexi SAFC / leaned out as much as possible
-2.5in mandrel bent cat back exhaust
-ported exh manifolds (tuned)
-port matched headers
-Ported intake manifold
-port matched intake runners
-bored out TB
-3" custom ram air inatake (K&N mounted where battery goes with hood scoop/water blockoff valve for rainy days)
-1psi electric supercharger
-pulleys that are less taxing on the engine
-adjustable Cam gears
-advanced timing as far as possible w/out detonation
-Oil/tranny cooler
-fluidyne radiator
-removed A/C compressor
-1G turbo DSM cams
-2G MAS
-clipped torque converter to stall @ 3500-4000rpm
-upgraded tranny internals
-stroker kit?
-bored heads & aftermarket pistons
-full trim including 75lb stereo / or not?

Anyone think i can hit at least high 13's with those mods?

oh yeah, i forgot the fuel system:

-upgraded fuel pump
-adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-new ignition system, 8.5mm wires.

I seem to remember hearing that a SAFC isnt really too useful on an NT unless you are pushing tons of power and tons of fuel through the engine. And you might be able to use it on the street with such a high stall speed converter. You would probably need some serious headwork, oversized valves, and high compression pistons. And forget the 1g cams, go for some aftermarket webcams or something like that, and possibly NOS. As for the tranny, AT's cant handle too much, and traction will kill you with a lot of power. Go for a LSD, and the equal length half shaft mod (if you can do it on an NT). Some serious front suspension tuning, and real sticky slicks. 13's might be a stretch for a NT AT, but, hey, if a NA Honda can do it, why cant you!?!

BTW- I wouldnt waste my money on a 1psi electic supercharger. Its somewhere along the lines of the "Tornado" or Spiralmax. You're better off with a ram-air setup.

haha i was thinkin the same thing about the 1psi supercharger on my way to work, 300$ for 1psi would be a waste wouldn't it? LOL oh well, that's my dumb bored self at work for ya.

Thanks for the inspiration though, it's not every day you come across a person who DOESNT say "buy a turbo car, it'll be a better deal" Basically my plans with the NT are to make it all show and all go (as much as you can for an NT show car) so that i can back my shit up with it. I DO plan on buyin a '91 TSI AWD 5speed and makin it full race setup on it.

It's not that we don't like N/T's and recommend that every N/T owner go out and buy a turbo...it's just that we get alot of N/T owners that talk about how they want to make their N/T faster than all the turbos out there.

Two different cars with two different purposes each serving their owners equally well.

oh, i understand. believe me though... haha there's NO WAY i'd ever get THAT fast! I know i'm dreaming when i want to run 13's in an NT with full trim. who am i kidding, but hey, it's a goal to work for. All i want is to be able to back up my shit when i'm rollin in my show car '93 Talon ES

All I have to say is that there aren't a lot of people out there that are willing to spend the time and money on making an NT DSM go fast and that's the reason the fastest NT DSM is only 15.6sec in the 1/4 mile . It takes a lot of work and skill to make an all motor car fast....but it can be done. Anyone that says otherwise is either incredibly stupid or incredibly closed-minded.

Even though I own a turbo doesn't mean that I wouldn't do my best to make a non turbo fast. If a Honda can be made fast then anything can be made fast.

I love you guys! I was under the impression that building up an NT to be fast was always a "don't do" thing. But now i'm realizing that people give me the WTF reaction because it's never been done before. i must be ignorant. Oh well, my goal is to AT LEAST build the fastest NT DSM out there, maybe even one that will be able to compete with lightly modded turbo DSMs. ya never know. besides. I have the time, and I have the money, why not? ;)

Put the Honda boyz in check man! They got no excuse if you don't have a turbo and haven't done a engine swap. They're gonna be digging deep for an excuse as to why they got beat.
