stock eclipse vs. civic

how would my car run against a 92-95 civic with the SOHC VTEC with maybe a few boltons? i raced one the other night and beat it by about a carlength and was wondering if he was a bad driver or i just under estimated the power of my car.....all i have is the modified aircan so far.....i cant find anywhere that show stock times for the GS DOHC

They don't stand a chance vs. a stock dsm untill they put a B16 in there, with some boltons on it.

BTW did you do any mods to the CRX? They're fun cars, not the powerful (torque is a wonderfull thing on the street) DSM kind of fun, but find the tightest windy empty mountain road kind of fun. I love driving my dads out in BFE on windy roads with no one around.

could you tell me the stock 1/4m time for my dsm? all i did to the crx was pacesetter exhaust(i know its a cheap brand but back then i wanted the cheapest mods i could get the quikest) and coldair intake. i ran low 15s and 1(what a wonderful day) 14.98

15 or high 14 if you're lucky. Those where pretty good times for the CRX.

I dont know about the "15 or high 14 if you're lucky." thats to low for a gs that makes like 140 hp. you are lighter than the awd so that makes up a little for the hp, but not nearly enough. I think the time for the n/t(5sp) was like mid-high 16s. Not as good as the high 14 - 15s posted earlier, but hey still better than the 16-17 that the civic ran =]

My old 92 NT 2.0 5 spd had a K&N and exhaust and all I could get out of it was 16.5.

I have a 92 NT 2.0 5spd with a K&N and exhaust too and my best time (on a G-Tech) was 16.01x, and that was on a really crappy launch. Also my car burns oil like a b|tch. I think that for sure I can get into high 15s the way the car is now.

Yeah...more than likely we'll be headin out tonite. I haven't talked to him all day so I have no idea what's going on though. He was tryin to fix his gas guage, and I don't know what's goin on with that. As soon as I find out for sure I'll post it in the events section.

Well Cyclone, it looks like I won't be able to make it out to the runs tonite. I haven't gotten in touch with Mike yet but I'm pretty sure he'll still be going. I can't make it cuz a friend of mine is in town and we're gonna go to the movies or something. I might roll by around 1AM or so....

a 92 RS would also be a 1.8L eclipse....

Actually, most Laser RS's have the non-turbo 4g63. RS is a package upgrad that uncludes at least the 2.0 NT. The Turbo Laser is also an RS and is called the Laser RS Turbo. Very few RS's have the 1.8. The base Laser's have the 1.8. So it probaly was a Turbo Laser. Just my .02.
