Stock 2nd gen stereo

I have a stock 2nd gen stereo and to my ears it sound just fine.......untill lately. It seems the rear speakers are cutting in and out or picking up different highs and low's in my tunes. It sounds real bad and I don't want too replace the stereo, my money is better spent making my car go faster. It is just really annoying and I was wondering if this was a common problem ? Thanks

well...it could either be a problem w/ a wire, a problem w/ the speakers, or a problem with the radio. damn, i think that's pretty much the whole system :D. so i guess try connecting your front speakers there or some old speakers laying around and see if the prlblem persists, if not, you found your problem, just get new speakers. if there's still a problem i guess its the radio cause it'd be kind of coincidential that both wires would start having the prolem at the same time
