What size are the 1G front door panel speakers, are they 4". I was wondering because a friend of mine is giving, yes giving me a set of 4" ECLIPSE mid/high component speakers because it did not fit on his 2G doors. Now are those speakers going to fit in my car? If not I guess I can sell them and buy me some that will fit. I have a '90 Talon if that helps much.

There 5.25's. You could adapt 4's to fit though

yup, there 5.25's.
But if your creative enough, the dash speakers are 4T and you could possibly get them in up there. That would be cool.

like 91TSIAWD_Mark said--you are probly going to have to be a little creative to make those speakers fit into your car...i have a 90 talon awd and i replaced the stock speakers with alpine 6in...i made "gaskets" out of wood to fit behind the new speakers--I countersunk holes in the "gaskets" so that they would screw on to the stock cover that fits in behind the speakers (i'm pretty sure that cover keeps the speakers from getting wet or something), then i drilled holes in to the "gasket" so that i could fit the new speakers in there (did the same thing for the rear speakers)...maybe not the most hi-tech sol, but its cheap, solid, and works really well...
hope this gave you some ideas...good luck

You may have to watch the depth too, I had to cut the black basket off of mine to allow the mounting of the Polk dB's basket and magnet, just something else to keep in mind when you have everything ripped apart. Slip in a set of waterproof XTC baffles to keep your mids dry, Crutchfiald carries them if you cannot find them at a local store for $7 each.
