2 12's

ok people

i got 2 12 JL w-0 subs, 93 turbo awd, and i dont know what to do to make them fit. if i take out the spare tire will there be enough room??? will they fit without being over the hatch level?? if you understand what im saying. i had a nt with the same set up andit got totaled so now i wanna put my sterio back in.. is it easyer 2 put 1 sub in ???

I also have 2 jl 12's for a 1g AWD. There is not enough airspace for both along with spare tire. I ended up keeping the spare, and filled the rest of the trunk (under hatch) with a box and 1 12 hooked up (other 12 still in box, but not hooked up - sounded crappy)

Since its a hatchback it will increase the sound level (as opposed to a trunk), so mine sounds pritty nice.

If you need to have both 12's, then your definiately gonna hafta take out the spare. Making a box then might be difficult, so maybe a fiberglass box to form fit would be best for ya.

Sell them and get 1 w6 or another sub. I have heard a perfect 12 and a Rockford 360a2 in a eclipse and man that thing is loud! It is as loud if not louder then the stereo I built in my friends explorer, 2 500a2's 2 hx2's and 360 to the front fanatic q's. I don't know what is up with everyone and this rockford crap (yes crap, that's what it is) Really 1 12 is good enough unless you just want to become annoying loud, or be the coolest guy in the world. That is how it is around here, my friend has the best stereo in town, the nicest install and he knows nothing about it except that it is suposivly 1000 watts of bass, and 2 12's and it is loud. When ever he has questions about it he goes and asks the stereo shops even though I told him what was wrong, and that got his stereo stolen, twice! (DTSS) Really though 1 good 12 with about 500 clean watts, and 3 way set of compenents with around 350 to 400 watts is all you need. Stereos are just like your engine, everyone here is very pasionate about building there engine properly, and thats how I feel about stereos also, So get good amps and good speakers, 3 way compnent set, just like you'd upgrade your side intercooler to a front mount, upgrade you stock 2 way's to 3 ways! And put your sub in a nice sealed enclousre for best response.

you could either:
1. fold down the back seats and put em there
2. Completely remove the back seats and build an enclosure
3. or you could do what I did.....

The 12's in the back are even height with the rear spoiler. I'm not sure what nt's are like, I heard there was more trunk space in them.....but I fit all this in my car and it sounds damn good too.

i would sell those and invest in speakers that require smaller air space like the kicker solobaric.they only require .66 or .88 for there twelve and go for about 175 each for the round model on ebay

I agree with redsand. i have the exact setup he was talking about (360a2 and perfect12) and its very loud.
If you really, and i mean REALLY want to be loud then go with 2 twelves.
I disagree about the rockford crap though. . . . .
Sure, some people think its the best when it clearly isnt, but if you get a good deal like i did, then i'd say its a great amp.

if i take the spare out it shoudl fit right?? what bout just having one? sub i loved the set up in my nt and it sounded sooooo good. thast why im wonderin my system wasnt all bass it was clear and it would thump if u wanted it too. so ohw ell

There is a whole crap load of room back there, you just have to decide what you want to get rid of. I have 4 12"s in my 1G AWD. Granted they are in an iso-baric set-up, but there are still 4 12"s back there :-)

I have a '92 Talon N/T. I as well got 2 12 JL W0's. They sound awsome and u shouldn't sell them. They fit but u have to take out the hatch cover thats all! It is a small sacrafic for great bass.

I think there is better equiptment for the price, compaired to rockford. But they did introduce a new design just recently, returning to 500.2 models insted of 500a2 models, maybe they will return to the quality of thouse "." series amps, if so they will regain my respect. If not they won't lose any. If you didn't have to pay more then 2/3 retail then they are fine.
