I have the infinity setup in my car, and drive with the top down all the time. It's really humid down here in the summer. My question is could the moisture on the speakers have dried them out? They are blown to hell now, and i'm wondering if that was the reason.
Thanks

Damn this server, I had a response typed in and it disappeared thanx to timeout, grrr

Anyways B_k, just wanted to say that I had a "popping" speaker problem that turned out to be a problem in the head unit. A tiny transistor in there blew and that took the speaker out... When you say blown, do you mean like cut-in-cut-out, crackly, no more bass, what? Maybe you just cranked it up too loud :P

yeah i do crank it up.. you have to with the top down goin 75-80 down the freeway. Anyway, they make a vibrating type of sound, like it's distorting almost. But they do it when they are turned down. I was just wondering if it was a moisture thing bc they are paper speakers, and the front ones that arent exposed to that air as much are fine.

its not the water, its the sun. back in the day my when I had just gotten into car audio my friend belw his rear speakrs in his prizim, and when we took a look at them it was kida funny, all of the suround was compleetley gone. later I found out that the sun does that to stock speakrs. for your car you may want to invest in some marine speakrs if you are realy worried about the moisture.
