Search engine: it'd be nice if we had the option of choosing how many results we want displayed at a time. I understand that 100 results or something like that is a little tough to handle for folks with monitors of low spatial resolution (i.e., 640x480), but for those of us with much more space at our disposal, it'd be great if we could fill it. Also, I tend to experience extraordinarily slow server response at times, and having more search results display on one page means less time and frustration waiting for the next 20 to load.
Misc: I joined DSMTalk about a month (I think) after it was created, and I've primarily sat back and watched it grow into something outstanding (hence my relatively low number of posts :) ). It's really an awesome site! However, I've noticed that in the past couple of months there have been an increasing number of threads that go unnoticed. I guess this is a natural consequence of there being so many members. It seems like these threads are started primarily by folks who are new to DSMs. Perhaps in the registration process of this site there should be a suggestion that newbies review the plethora of data that's already out there, with links to those resources (like the vfaq, or the 1000 Already Answered Questions, etc.). That way folks can post more informed questions and not be put off by people not answering their posts because they're so elementary.
Just a suggestion. I tried to choose my words carefully so I wouldn't sound stuck-up or elitist or anything like that -- that wasn't my intention, and if anyone took it that way I'm sorry if I offended you.
