Hey what's up everyone? Dayrecka is right, the DSM's in the Hampton Roads area need to get together and support each other. I for one have been down at the oceanfront many times on the weekends and have had other DSM owners turn there noses up at me just because I drive a 1st gen eclipse. We should all get together whether our cars be 1st or 2nd gen or turbo or non turbo and show some love to each other.

for real.. i for one really dont care if u got a turbo or not.. i most certainly care if u got awd or not.. definately dont care if its a 1g or a 2g discluding 3g eclipses cuz i dont think they are dsm's in my opinion...next dsm on the list will be the evo considering its the only 4g63 engine still in exsistance

Joe, im all up for getting over this stuff..but in all reality, im not going to apologize to anyone for anything. In this case it was fault from three sides, u, jen, and me. if the weather is clear its on for saturday.. and to get here all u do is take 64 east and ur here within 25 minutes depending on traffic maybe 45.... from there we would have to know a round about time and whatnot either me and ecco or mitsubitch can meet u and bring u out to where ur exactly going..... beware most of our team is male so be prepared for the worst lol.. just a fair warning about the horndogs like hmmmmmmmm butch lol

You should come out and check out the racing scene. I race all of the time with a mostly stock 95 Eclipse GS. Ive won alot and lost alot but its still fun as hell. Bring out your gst and have some fun. If you need directions..its extremely easy, i used to work up in colonial williamsburg last year. Take 64 east allll the way to the military highway exit, its right after the robin hood road exit. Follow military until you pass a walmart on your left, and a lowes on your right. Take the left that says va beach blvd. You have to go to the right of the underpass, then go under it. Follow va beach blvd, go up to the first light and turn right into military circle mall. Turn to the left and u will see the putt putt and hundreds of cars. We meet there at around 11:30 ish on friday and sat nights. If you want to meet up with us and then go out there, let us know. We can work something out.

last night wasnt very good at all.. we had 2 count them 2 accidents over people being complete retards on the roads..... 1 a honda and a mustang were racing about 145 mph both squeezed off some of the crazy juice u know the little red nos button.. well to make a long story short.. honda smacked the wall and the mustang smacked into them... then the nos bottles exploded in both cars... all 3 in the honda are dead.... second accident happened on a side road in the middle of nowheresville chesapeake and some retard thought it would be funny so launch his car as hard as possible into a sunday bible school van lmfao.. what a complete moron.. these are two cases in which we all should learn from...

btw windsor ended up to be the place everyone was... they said it was nice they ran for about 2 hours non stop but then everyone got bored cuz everyone had raced themselves out.. cuz there was alot of racing no pausing in between racing... damn thats alot of racing.. so if we would have went we would have been straight as hell.. but thats my bad i got bad information about the guy not being home and someone was gonna call the cops on us if we went..... will inform u guys next time we go to windsor.. its only maybe a 20 minute drive from downtown williamsburg

My talon is on the road, but i still have a few bugs to work out. Its running strong, but its not running 100% yet. Im boosting at 2500 rpms, dont know why, but its a good thing..lol. Hopefully i can debut Hyper this weekend, he really wants to kick some honda ass!, and a few v8's while im there. This just in..i now live on Birdneck road, moved in tonight, my number is 437-1766. btw dude i need to get that exhuast manifold from ya soon... plus i might need some more spare parts u would have to see to know what im takin about for my talon.... and how in the hell do i work that radio u said something about jerry riggin it but u mummbled ur words..... and us 1g turbos gonna have a little bit of an edge soon too... im custom fabricating hard intake 3 inch completely custom to fit snug and screw down for no movement so u lose no psi from k&n to turbo....... plus i need a count of heads that need some mccc (mitsubishi combustion chamber cleaner) cuz i can get a discount if i buy in bluk (3 cans or more)

ok heres the deal i found out whats wrong with my talon and why it was blowing smoke..... well my valve guides are worn a bit so the valves are not sitting right and thats causing slight blow-by and its blowing smoke when i give it some gas..... ok now for the hard part of the question..... its a 92 awd turbo talon..... and its gonna cost me about 550 in labor plus whatever is costs for the valve guides and to get the head reworked just on the valves francis (the mechanic) says im lookin at 800 bones total or a little more........ would it be worth doing or should i sell it and buy a new awd?

oh man joe, you dont want to go through all that shit do you...damn that sucks big time. I would look for another one..but you do what u want to. If you have to have that work done, u might as well throw some titanium valves and lifters in there. i'll talk to u tomorrow

whats up man? i would say get it done, because if you get another car, whats to say you wont have to do it on the next one you get. Our cars are known for that problem. but thats just my 2 cents worth. Ive seen online where you can get the parts for about $600- $100 for guides.

that was one fuckin hell of a night for racing and there wasnt even that many of us... cops came to break it up after 4 hours and they didnt do shit....just followed us out ... will mention this... 4n muscle represented big time.... i only saw him get his ass handed to him one time all night.. that was by turbo honda completely gutted so im sure weight played a factor.... finkles boy in the cavalier represented pretty good too... he lost to the gs-t and i do believe thats it...the rest he won.. including beating adams celica... so go domestics lol....little news flash on that if u were not there.. there are two nasty hondas out here thou... 1 is a turbo integra and ones a turbo civic si... both of them cars were flying basically... all in all was a great time and u should have been there....... oh yea forgot to mention.... does anyone wanna race a mustang??? i promise i wont leave 2nd gear lol

I came to the putt putt on va beach blvd last saturday with about 20 cars from newport news to check out what the scene is like on that side.
All I have to say is there weren't any nice cars from the southside. To be honest the cars there were down right pitiful. Someone brought a wrecked dsm there.
The best thing out there was some kid who bought the silver auto TT supra. The previous owner ran a 12.6 with it, but returned it to stock when he sold it. The fag that bought it put a neon underbody kit as his first mod. Fucking lame.

Besides the v8 guys, it seemed like all the other people from the southside were ricers. I was planning on going to windsor afterwards, but after seeing what was there I just went home.

From what you guys are saying it sounds like there are 2 or 3 nice cars at windsor and the rest are just rice. Two turbo hondas dominating everything......LOLOLOL, that's sad.

That picture isn't loading. I was in the right place because all the southside people were following us around. One would think it would be the opposite but I guess they don't get a chance to see cars like that very often.

120+ in an integra is roughly high 11 in the quarter. Gee, that makes it so much more believable.

Like I said, I didn't go to windsor because my friends and I were discouraged by the turnout on va beach blvd.
We came down there with mostly 12 sec cars expecting to see some comparable cars. There weren't any.

There were more like 20. There were 3 new sc saleens. At least 2 sc fox body stangs and some other ones that I didn't look at closely. 3 vettes. A few f-bodies. A tt supra. My car. A 95 awd talon. A tt stealth. A vr4. An mr2-t. Then the non fast cars there were an impala, a civic del sol, a 2001 civic, an integra, a v6 mustang.
Damn that's more than 20 right there. I didn't say they all ran 12s, but the majority of them do.
To be honest I haven't run my car at the track. When the people from this area go I usually have to work (weekends), so I don't have a slip to show you. I'm not claiming my car is a 12 sec car anyway because that would be foolish. All you need to know is that it's slow.

why go though all that trouble when a 20g would extremely overpower it. Just think about it, your exhaust has to spin those turbos and by using two, only have of the power would be going to each of those turbos.

i agree with the 20g. If you have you engine balanced, 720's, fmic afc and all the other goodies, a 20g can make ridiculous power, and you still only have to turn one turbine.

Two 14b's will still not make boost past 5500 rpm. When a 20g makes power well past what your engine can handle.

but if you want to make a twin turbo, i will help.

Hey everyone in the Hampton Roads area. I am currently out to sea right now but am due back in late April. In the beginning of May (possibly May 4th) I have to replace my clutch with an ACT2600. I am looking to do this myslef as my last one that I had a shop install cost me $400 for labor. Was wondering if anyone in the area did this beofre and could offer any advice or would like to lend a hand (hint hint). I live in Hampton and am possibly looking to do this on the Naval base at the auto hobby shop, or does anyone else know of a good place to do it??? I also have to have my flywheel resurfaced and the step height fixed on it. Does anyone know of any good machine shops to do this at?? Your guys help is greatly appreciated. By the way I will be in the Hampton Roads area till about June 15th until I get stationed up in MD so whatever help comes around will definetly go around. Once again...appreciate any help...

Actually my clutch is also burnt right now. I ordered an act2600 over a week ago, just waiting for it to come in the mail.
I might end up helpinh some friends do it (whom I don't really trust) or take it to a guy on my street who owns a few car repair shops. I know I can't afford $400 for labor on the thing.
Anyhow, if I participate in changing my clutch, I might be able to help you.

Let me know how your clutch install goes. Where did you order yours from?!?! I ordered mine from Bushur Racing. It was the cheapest with shipping. I think it only took like 3-4 days to get to my house, so they are not too bad. When I burned my first clutch out, I called everywhere in the Hampton roads area and the cheapest I found for labor was about $450. I am orginaly from Baltimore so I called around up there and found one for $400. I have printed out the VFAQ from the main DSM site and have been reading it. Looks like a lot but we could probably handle it. I really need to get it done in one day especially if I am using the naval base garage. anyways...let me know and thank you.

i did mine in about 6 hours with the help of a lift. I could probably lend you a hand, but the only problem is i'm in richmond, so that means its a long trip down there.

If you could lend a hand that would be great. Yeah that is a good hour drive. If you think that is too much, do you remember any key steps when you were doing it that should be pointed out?? What did you use to lower the transmission out with?!?! How about support the engine while the tranny was out?!? How much did it cost you to get your flywheel resurfaced?!? Also, what clutch did you install?? Did you get your flywheel step height readjusted??? I heard the "sweet spot" for the step height was .605 (I have a Clutch Masters lightened flywheel) Any comments on that?? Again. thanks for offering help. I will definetly be posting more as that time gets closer.

wow, you aske a mouthful...ok lets see.

I used a transmission jack to lower it out. To support the engine you have to have this thing that goes from on fender to the other and it has a hoist in them middle to hook to your lifting point on the engine. My flywheel looked like brand new so i didnt resurface it. I put in a clutch one step better than stock. I am about to put the act 2600 in in the near future. Make sure you have plent of extensions and swivels. There are a couple of bolts on top of the tranny that are a bitch to get to. Use you clutch alignment tool and take your time. There is nothing worse than aligning your clutch, and thinking its right and finding out its not when you try to drive it.

what made you decide to get a t28 ? i'm thinking there is better and bigger turbo's around that price range.

judging by the reveiws from people that already have this turbo. Its from fp, so you know its good. The price compared to performance seems like a win win situation to me. I havn't heard a negative about it yet.

and i really like that it uses the same turbine housing as the t-2small. Direct bolt on with nothing else to buy. If you pop your hood and people see a t-25/14b, there arent intimedated. good sleeper turbo.
