car of the month

I was visiting good ol' clubsi.com and noticed they have a car of the week/month whatever posted and I thought that was kind of neat. What do you think? I think it would be interesting to see what some people have in detail on there dsms.

Let me clarify... a readers rides section won't be coming anytime soon because the similar "pic post forum" died due to non-usage (*ahem* as the "group buys forum" might die too if it doesnt get more usage - but that's a discussion for another thread :)). However, a car-of-the-month "competition" is coming, we just have to work out the format and technical details. Sit tight. :) Hope that clarifies things. Hey AWDMIKE858, ya might have to put up or shut up. :) (j/k)

The monthly DSMtalk.com DSM Of The Month competition will be starting soon! Entries will be accepted in the DSM of the Month Competition Forum which will open sometime between this coming Monday 1/15 and Wednesday 1/17.

Contestants will post in that forum to enter, with the following contained in the post:

ONE pic of their DSM (size not to exceed 450 width x 350 height) as close to that size as possible is preferred.
name (first and last name preferred - just first name is ok though)
location (city and state preferred - just state ok though)
a description of their car in 75 words or less including: modifications (performance and appearance), performance figures (E/T, dyno runs, etc.), and anything else you think will impress :)


Obviously, all info must be truthful and the car must be owned by the DSMtalker that enters it. (The moderating team has full discretion to exclude any from consideration - and may disqualify entries as it sees fit).


The moderating team will pick the first five entries that will compete. The five contestants will then be moved by the admin / moderating team, to the voting page, where anyone and everyone can vote on them. Winners will have their car prominately displayed on the site's main page for a month, and then later retired to the DSM of the month archive where it will remain forever. :) Of course, winners will also be the envy of the DSM world and will have tons of women (or men as the case may be) throwing themselves at the winner. :D

We? :confused: That site has no affiliation or connection with DSMtalk.com. Isn't it a database where people enter pics and data about their car? We do not have any plans of adding such a database. Instead, the DSM Of The Month Competition is just that, a competition where people vote. Something which is interactive, and hopefully fun for DSMtalkers. :)
