Don't know if this will help, but from what I heard the WS system is the replacement for the RS system which I have now. I assume it is similar to the older model? Anyway I like my RS exhaust.

How is the noise level compared to stock?

The RS exhaust was the replacement for the old RSR model. I got mine from RRE right before they sold out of them. That's when I heard about the new model (the ws system). Here are the reasons why I went with the RS:
1) Price: It was only $400. Reason why so cheap is because it's not a full stainless steel exhaust. Only the muffler is a polished stainless steel while the piping is an aluminized steel. Even though I live in the Chicagoland area, I don't drive the car in the winter so this choice was fine for me. If you live in an area with bad winters and salty roads, perhaps a full stainless steel exhaust is better for you. A few other Chicago DSM'ers opted for a thermal exhaust which is full stainless steel.
2) Fit: the RS exhaust eas extremely easy to install. It matched up perfectly with all the stock hangers.
3) Sound: I was concerned with gettting a loud exhaust because it can get annoying while driving plus I didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb with the cops around here. Mike from RRE recommended the RS over the N1 and of course the Dunk if I was concerned with sound. However, people with the N1 say it is not too loud. Anyway compared to stock, the RS system was a bit louder of course but nothing incredibly noticeable. In fact, at idle from inside you could barely tell. At WOT you can hear it (with the windows down) but it is not overwhelming. Since I put on a bigger downpipe and a test pipe it has gotten much louder but still ok. I would hate to hear it now if I originally got something like the N1 or dunk. I know for sure I would be annoyed with it.
Others who got the Thermal say it is quiet too. Maybe a tad bit louder than the RS.
Hope this helps.
