if i were to get new internals would my engine be able to handle a 300 hp progressive shot maybe a dual stage system i would also get an ignition with a automatic timing retard and a new fuel pump and maybe a fuel cell for racing fuel for the nos and also a new clutch you think i could do it ?

I doubt the engine could withstand a 300 shot of nitrous, stock internals or not. That's a hell of a lot of nitrous, the most I have heard of anyone running on a 420A is a 75hp shot.

oops just noticed you're not running the 420A, well I still say that's way too much nitrous for that engine.

why wouldnt it i mean some of the turbo guys are running around 400 hp plus i wouldn't use it all the time thats why i'd like a 2 stage systen maybe have a 75 or 100 first stage

It would be iffy...Im not sure I would try it. If it is a Race car or project car I say go for it. If it is your daily driver, I wouldnt even think of it. You blow it up(and you likly will) you won't have a way to school/work/girlfriends house/go get food <---- pick any one of those. You would spend enough on it trying to get it to work that you could buy a project car.
Unless your sitting on a load of cash I really don't suggest it.
$3000 for engine build
$1000 for all nitrous related parts
$500 other stuff you run into(there will be lots of little nick nacks to handle)
$800 Clutch
$1000+ for wheels/tires that can handle the sudden shock of power
$1000+ On rebuilding your tranny to hold that power

so your looking at a $6,300 Dollar experiment
I don't think its worth it.

The answer to your question in NO. Someone has already been there and done that, blown their engine to prove it. Even with a rebuilt bottom end and head work, it's not possible. this particular car was built with 10:5 forged pistons, rods, and race-prepped crank, port & polished head with nitrous grind cams. After some tuning, he tried a 200 shot on a progressive controller and all went well, next he tried a 250 shot and again all was well. For his last run he attempted a 300 shot and the result was castrophic, he blew the engine he had spent weeks building. So, I hope you take my story as advice and learn, don't try it.

It shouldn't be that difficult or expensive to turbo that engine. Then you would have a very unique car, how many people drive around a turbo charged Elantra? :D

Why not just try a 100 shot.
Im sure you could take out most Honda's and stock Turbo Dsm's with that.

a 125 - 150 shot should dispatch most dsm's and v-8's. your car is probably around the 130 hp range right now. if you can get intake header and exhaust you might be up to 140-150 possibly and then a shot like that on top would put you at nearly 300hp and a mean car on the roll. don't worry about tranny mods, my nt tranny has no problem running my turbo engine at 18 psi so i doubt yours will need raced out to handle it.

although personally, i'd contact this justin guy and drop a turbo jdm engine into it. 30,000 miles for about $1000 is awesome, throw in a used ecu and a wiring harness and you're looking at $1600 max. then you'll need some things like fuel pumps (got my vr4 for $50), i/c (stocker for $40), and a clutch ( got my puck for only $185 shipped- it does slip a little on my buddy's 20g equipped laser awd but that's the first sliping case i've ever heard of and with you being fwd, you'll spin tire before clutch).

so now you're talking maybe in the $2000 range if you do it yourself. or slightly less than any turbo kit for a honda and your new engine will handle 400hp to boot and you can follow the usual and proven dsm power upgrades to modify it with.

yeah my loan will be payed off in a couple months i was thinking about buying another car as a daily driver. I might just take out another loan and do some things i'd like the nos because i dont really need the extra power all the time but who knows
