Ok I got a AVC-R from partstrader and well last night, I hooked up all the stuff from the ECU except for the power and ground I tapped off the cigarette lighter since I already had that tapped for my gauges. I turned the ignition and I see nothing. The AVC-R doesn't even light up. WTF? Did I just scammed or is there something else that needs to be done? I didn't install my pressure sensor or boost solenoid yet but I have those connected to the long cable. I don't want to go further until I know that the AVC-R is actually working. Damn, if this thing is fugged, I'm out 4 benji's. ARGH, dishonest people suck ass.

I'd go back over the wiring. I know the blue face afc's won't light up if don't have a very good connection on the power and ground.

yeah I bought one off the parts trader too and it didn't work at all. No lights. I did use the vampire taps at first and then after I found out that those suck, I soldered the wires but still no luck. I contacted the guy but he claimed it was working 100%...

I know this post is a little late, but SAFCs and AVCRs have two grounds and you have to put them on almost one inch apart of of the ecu ground if you expect it to work properly.
