resonator box!

has anyone removed the resonator box that leads into the intake?? i cut a hole in the bottom of it but it looks as though the air flow would be better if it was left out alltogether.. any ideas?

Take that thing out of there and install one of those flexible metal ducts from Home Depot in there. Run it from the fog light opening all the way up to the place where the resonator joined the aircan.;) :D

that sounds awesome!!! one question though, what about when it rains and stuff, wouldn't the duct bring the water up to the filter?? also, how big does the tube gotta be?? (if you've done it, i'd rather not try to guess how long it gotta be)

i just removed the snorkus from in between the can and the box, it works out really well. i havent tried the dryer duct stuff but if there is a noticiable difference please let me know.

I have done it on almost all of my customers(sp??) cars and have yet to receive a complain about it or lose a motor on the rain. Don't worry about that too much unless you like to run on floods...;) :P

if you dont mind telling, what did you use to attach the pipe to the fog light opening and to the hole in the engine bay?

I use plactic tie wraps to hold it to the engine bay hole. To hold it to the foglight opening just modify the black cover that is on the opening or bend the pipe a little and make it stick thru the opening...;)

Sounds interesting. Looks like I'll be going to Home Depot this weekend :) Right now I have no aircan and no snorkel. Just the Injen intake and open filter. Sounds to me like a badass idea :)
