Was wondering. Has anyone with a 2G AT ever change their shift knob? My roommate has a '97 GSX auto and he feels that the stock shift knob is ugly. (I know, he should've gotten a stick). Anyways, he really wants to change it...but I'm not sure if it is possible to change it. Any idea guys?

I have a 2G automatic and have used the new gungrip Razo shifter with the Overdrive button.

1g/2g autos have the same shifting mechanism right? so they work on both? and how easy are they to take off?

Hello,

Are there places that sell different shift handles for our AT cars? I mean, I think the shift console on my car looks a little tired and would like to spruce it up. I have seen a lot of short shifter kit mods for the MTs, but I hear relatively little about the ATs...anyone?

The best a/t shifter is this:

convert to a 5-speed... ;)

uhh, but on a serious note... I haven't seen any (I actually have an a/t aswell [for now]) and I agree the a/t shifter is a little weak...

I didn't really look that hard though, i'm sure someone makes one...

Two similar threads were merged together. Just in case anyone wonders what happened.
