ahh, more dead vtec's, by a MAXIMA?

this may not sound like anything new, but i dont have my 2g gsx yet, still trying to find the right one. anyways i still have my 96 maxima(5sp) with intake and exhaust and i just love killing these things. last night me and a buddy were cruisin out to tempe(asu) and what would you know but a lowered white integra gsr with clear lights(adds 20hp), exhaust, body kit, racing rims, big tach, and some glowing gauges inside appears out of nowhere. i immediatly drop to third, turn off my music and pull up next to him, we are going about 55, my buddy motions at him to go. i hear him downshift, probably to 3rd,thinking he is going to kill me,i have stock 14'rims(hubcaps),i gun it and start gaining on him instantly, even by 70, passed by 75, i continue till about 115-120, which by now i have many,many,many lengths on him. throw on my flashers to let him know know the deal. he pulls up next to me at the next light, i start getting ready for a race, but then he says and i quote "dahm, i didn't know those things were that fast"we just laugh, he then give me the peace sign and make a right. i guess he didnt see my sticker on my rear windshield of the little guy pissing a vtec sticker, oh well. always down for a little racin. then got on the freeway and killed an old 5.0, but the suck at freeways speeds.
i am not trying to say i will beat your cars, but just thought you might want to hear a good story
am yet to lose to any vtec,

cant wait for eclipse so i can move in to big v8's(350?s)

Maxima's are sleepers, I know I used to always look at them like they were some affordable pseudo-lux sedan that were no threat what so ever. They definately have some balls to them, especially the newer ones.

first off where did you get the sticker of the guy pissing on vtec?!?! I want one. I hate honduhs
next maximas are pretty nice cars. my best friend has one and that would have beat my 1.8Laser before I ripped out the engine and turned it into flinstones power.

ha, ha, ha. i hate to bust your bubble, but a 1996 maxima runs a 6.6-6.7 stock. so i would beat your laser, i see a fight comin j/k. it is probably the finest v6 you can buy, drive one and you will see. i cut the vtec off of another sticker that had the word vtec in it(i think it was one of those powered by stickers),which add 30hp and put it under the pissing guy. i am not saying that max's are faster than your cars, so dont get defensive, just that it is a sleeper and i hate honda's, acura,

Yup Maxima's are badass. I drive my parent's 91 Maxima SE when the weather is bad. And I'll tell you something, it is a pretty stout little car. Granted the 95-99, and 00-on has more power, but it's still a a good engine. In facted it's the 300ZX N/A. Honestly I want a brand new 25 aniversity edition Maxima. But I can't afford one right now. To me that's one of the best luxo sedan's out there. By the way good kills. :D

THANK U for understanding the sleeper power of the maxima. to add to my kills, about 3 hours ago, when i was still sober i was coming out of the liquor store,heading left, when a crx with a full body kit went pass. i couldnt pass the opportunity so i made a right instead of a left to follow the crx. i put on my brights to let him know the deal. when i pulled up next to him i noticed that it was a real crx, one that i have seen at school, fully gutted of interior and the kid lives within .5 miles of me. i drive by his house almost everyday and his car seems to always be on jacks, which i assume is being tweaked, there is also a black civic with real forgline racing wheels and looks to be fast in the front, i am with my good friend and his girlfriend, so he signals to the crx to race, he doesnt accept, so now a little angered by the lack of parcipitation i cut him off and throw on my blinkers. he then puts on his brights, now its tim to race. he pulls next to me and we take off from about 50. as expected he has a quick crx, we race to about 100+(i'm guessing 115), but then traffic interludes, i had him by 1.5+ cars. same deal, we pull to next red light and he drives extremely slowly from the light not even looking in my direction, so i guess he doesnt want a piece and i make a right and head home to get f*cked up.

once again, i am not trying to make this a maxima kill site, but wanted to tell some real racers a story.
there is a maxima forum(maxima.org) with many people on it, but the are very novice and most have never seen a drag or street race, so i thought you dsm'ers would appreciate it.

Yeah been to that site a few times. i don't remember if i registered there yet. i like checking out all car forums. kind of puts me in check. i my self can't stand V-tecs,hondas also:D (well just those certain people:)). everytime i see one i mess with them just for the hell of the spanking LOL. good kill and keep us informed of the GsX.

Hate to burst you're bubble to but my dad's riding mower would beat my laser right now, so don't feel too special :). Basically a dead dog is the only thing that couldn't beat it because It has absolutely no engine or transmission, not even the ecu or shifter. It also has no pass door or front fender, no front bumper, no hood, and no spring on drivers left wheel. But as soon as I get the 4g63 dropped in and get the car liscenced I will race you.
