Just curious as to what everyone's EGT's are when at idle, cruising(70mph+/-) and when at WOT when going over 100 mph. My gauges read in C', at 70 or so I'm usually around 700 and at WOT throttle at over 100 mph they near 850 C'. Any thoughts....

No matter if it's an AT or MT car, dont ever get the motor over 1650F. ;) Better to run rich at top end than lean!!

An just to let you know I have the EGT in cylinder number 1, and at idle it's about 1000 degrees F. Cruising at 2000 rpm its about 1200, and at about 3000rpm its at about 1400. I have held it out to about 120mph and the EGT's did get to 1600 and I let off, but that is with a stock fuel pump and 15 psi on big 16g. :D

With T-25, and stock FP w/rewire

1000*F = Idle after warmup
1350*F = 70Mph w/ OD on and 0 to 2 psi
1400*F = 80Mph w/OD on and 2 - 4 psi
If I hit wot at 80 mph and 10-15 psi it will jump to about 1550 at 110 mph that as high as I have gone.

Oh and EGT probe approx 6" down in cylinder 1

except for gauges. EGT reads 1450 F at WOt and around 700 F at idle. Cruising is around 1100 with -10" to 0 and around 1200 at 0-5 psi.
