1st, 2nd gear flare up from a stop, hmm...

Any ideas as too what could be causing this. I had my tranny fluid replaced just yesterday and it flares up in 1st and 2nd from a stop. Mechanic put in 7 qts, of synth. dexII. Does it just need time to soak into the bands and what not. I also have the Level10PTS kit installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

what do you mean flares up? But no, trans fluid does not need time to soak in. Once you put it in drive or nutral is starts to circulate fluid.

When I accelerate into second 1st gear w/ go to like 4-5k rpms and than switch to 2nd and second will go to like 5-6k and than shift into third. It used to switch gears at a much lower rpm. It's like it's not catching or switching gears properly. I just got the ATF fluid changed yesterday but now it seems to be much worse than before. Thanks for the response, it's really start to get on my nerves.
