I manually shift every gear every time I drive.

The key is, how long do you drive it like that? I do it to pass cars all the time but go back to 4th after doing so. With the Alto clutch upgrade, sometimes I just hit it and pass. Depends on how fast I want to pass :)

When your forward clutch, 3rd gear is revving over and if you do this too long. Little friction pieces are falling into your fluid, mixing into the valve body, overheating fluid and possibly going to warp plates due to extreme heat. Not good for tranny.

The 4th gear is there for a reason. Cruising at a comfortable RPM and to change shift.

BTW, I shift manually a good bit myself.
