Ok I just recently installed a Level 10 TC. Well after driving it a little bit I brake torqued it. I'm a little disappointed with my result. Granted I think I'm running pretty damn rich, and my turbo is a little laggy. But I figured I couold atleast build to 3000 RPMs, it seems to stop a little over 2500 RPMs. Could it be that I'm just not to the spoolup point of my turbo that is causing this? I mean it might not be that bad when I actually up the boost to 20psi, so I don't spin of the line. But this doesn't seem right to me. Any opinions?

What turbo are you running?

The Level 10 TC is a rebadged Protorque unit which I have. I can brake torque to around 3500rpms and have built up to 12psi on the line with the Green. This is only with a weeks worth of testing and no serious launches or track launches. With proper tuning, I can see making 1.7 60fts with good traction.

A lack of A/T fluid and lack of proper tuning can cause problems with brake torquing.

I'm running a Super 16G, whiich is no where near as laggy as your Green. :) I'm thinking might have something to do with tunning, but maybe it's fluid level. Yesterday I checked the fluid level and it was about in the middle of the "Hot" range. Isn't that were it should be, or should it be all the way up to the end of the "Hot" range?

If it is at operating temperature, it should be on the Hot mark or line. Check it in neutral after running thru the gears (p-n-3-2-1-2-3-n). Other side, there should be a cold mark as well for when it is cold.

Well I checked the fluid again today and it does seem a little low. it was on the line between "cold" and "hot". That's a little low, right? And that could cause my problem right? I can't get anymore fluid until tomorrow, since today is a holiday, so no more driving the car today. :( Thanks for all your help.

Oh and Charles sorry I haven't got a chance to post something up on the Good Guys website yet. I will be psoting once I get some more free time. And to everyone that doesn't already know, he's the man and knows his stuff. ;) By the way this is the guy that you sold that used TC too. :)

That's very odd. You might need to tune your low RPMs to spool up faster. Check for boost leaks too. I have a dunrite TC and I can easily powerbrake to 3500rpm and if I hold it longer up to 4000rpm but Its usually not necessary to go that high. How high could you powerbrake with your stock TC?

Well on the stock TC and turbo, I made 12-15psi at 3000 RPM's. That's what I usually launched at. I just added about 3/4 of a quart of ATF, basically bring it up to the top part of the "Hot" mark. We'll see if this helps. Thanks for all the input everyone.

Well it still is only stalling out to around 2500. I'm going ot do some tunning, which I hope is causing the problem. I'm goign to be installing some 625's with in the next week or so. If that doesn't help I'm ripping Level 10's ass. I've been putting up with this shit all fucking summer. It's getting old!
