View Full Version : cluster rpm gauge don't work
My rpm guage don't work on my cluster. I just put in a 1990 turbo engine in my non-turbo ealge talon and because it was a non-turbo car i had to get a turbo harness. All i could find at a junk yard was a 92 turbo harness. Now my problem is i dont have money to buy the 92 coil pack and power transistor to swap to make my cluster work. What i want to do is reg the new harness to connect like the old harness use to. Does any one know how to do this to make the cluster work? Can i just connect a noise filter to the white tach wire to make the cluster rpm gauge work? Help!

Did you fix it yet? The reason why I'm asking this is cuz I just finished rebuliding my engine 91 GSX and my tach is acting up. It only reads about half of real reading. Let's say I'm driving at 3000 constant rpm, it reads 1500rpm. I know this cuz I logged it while I was driving. It must be something with the power transistor but I'm not sure how to test it or anything. Any help would be great.

to the first post, did u use a 92-94 cluster with a 90 ecu? no other cluster gauge will allow rpm's to work on a 90 ecu.
