I've had a tranny problem here recently, the tranny would not shift properly. It is revving past it's normal shift point by a couple thousand rpm and than shifting. I just checked the Tranny fluid and the enitre white plastic piece which reads hot & cold was covered in tranny fluid. Just a few days ago I had the trannsmission fluid changed. I told the guy it would probablly take 7 qts. for a complete flush. Could this guy of overfilled my tranny and that's what has been giving me erratic shifting. For one the tranny alone only holds 4 qts, the valve body another 3. And isn't the proper trans fluid level suppossed to be between hold/cold not covering the entire stick. Any help would greatly be appeciated. Thanks.

Read Charles' thread on how to properly check tranny fluid levels and you'll know:

Your tranny needs 7 quarts. I had mine flushed at the dealer and they used 12 quarts to do a flush. I have a 95 GS-T which is the same tranny as yours. To drain and fill it's 7 quarts. So maybe you don't even have enough fluid in there. Throw the car in neutral after your car is warmed up and check the tranny dip stick.

Thanks for all the replies, it wasn't the tranny fluid level at all. Apparently, when they installed the PTS kit the trans. filter was not put back in properly and it came loose which caused the erratic shifting. Runs like a champ now.
