Ok I have a 94 eclipse n/t and i want to put some aftermarket gauges and i found some that i really like but theres a problem. They have two types of n/t gauges ones that go up to 145 and have a redline of 7000(the ones that say 145 and not 140+5 dashes) then they have the gauges that go up to 140 and have 5 dashes but the redline is only at 6000. Well my gauges go up to 140 + 5 but the redline is at 7000. And i can't find any that are exactly like mine. So are my guages jacked or is there a website that can help.

go to blackcatcustom.com
if they are not showing you what you need, call the number. They will be able to help.

there are the 2 types of gauges because the ones that redline at 7000 and have the 140 + 5 are the 2.0 engines, the others (redline of 6000) are for the 1.8 engines.

If my facts are correct, the speedo was 145 only in 90.

The 92 goet to 145, but it only actually says 140. the other dashes are there. basically it goes in 10's, while the ones in question go in 5's. Don't see to many of those myself. Just a 90 thing????

Are the numbered incriments labled in 5's or 10's, i.e. 10, 20 30, etc. or 5, 15, 25 etc

90 DSM's go 5-10-15-25 etc, up to 145
91+ DSM's go 10-20-30 etc, up to 140

so if you put in a spedometer cable from a 90 you could switch guages and have the 5-10-15 guages then true?

Otis

i think its just a cosmetic difference.

Difference between the 5-145 vs. the 0-140 speedometer is JUST cosmetic. You can take the '90 145mph speedo face and put it on the 91-94 140mph speedo and it reads the same. Notice the 0-140 speedo has a tick mark for 5 MPH, and the tick marks go up to 145...
