I was changing my oil today and I was putting the oil filter back on when it seemed it was on all the way... as it turns out the filter was rubbing on the alternator, needless to say it was not on all the way and shot oil all over the ground when I was done.
Anyway, my question is, are any of your filters incredibly close to the alternator?

That's strange I use the Purolator one that you're talking about and I have yet to have problems with it. I also use it on 1.8ltr. DSM cars on oil changes...

I always use that one...
But I believe that the oil filter manuals list another one (smaller). Check it out...
