i was just wondering, what wires are best for our little engines and does size really matter on a 1.8?:D

I use NGK plugs (I've heard they're good on the 1.8L's) and Xact wires. I don't know what's best, but mine are pretty good, my engine's never had a miss or anything since I put them on.

I use NGK plugs and 7.5mm AutoLite Pro Fit wires.

I am running Splitfire dual core wires, and they are awesome. They are 7mm, just like stockers, so they fit in all the factory wire looms. They have extremely low resistance as compared to other wires, (electricity follows the path of least resistance) and look great to boot! (blue w/gold lettering).
And Yeah, I know that splitfire PLUGS bite the big one, but the WIRES are top notch.
They also come with a 100% money back guarantee, so you can try them with no risk, but it you try them, you will love them.
Btw, running them with Autolite platinum ap63's.

My AutoLites were like $20-$30 at Checker Auto Parts AKA Kragen. But I'm sure Pep Boys would have em.

I got the splitfire wires online at 24-7autoparts@oldworldind.com
and they were $39.99 + 4.95 shipping.
At that time they also had a $15 rebate going for online orders!!
the autolite ap63's are at Wal-mart for $3.95 per 2-pack.
I've been wanting to try the ngk's too, since everyone around here likes them so much, but this is a small town and wal-mart is really convenient, and the results with the autolites have been terrific!

Umm, no offense but why change your plugs so often? It's not necessary. Good plugs will last a long time. The plugs in my car are guarenteed for 75,000 miles.

Yeah, I usually clean/regap my plugs as part of my twice yearly cleaning ritual, and replace them after they've had one or two re-gaps, or when they start to look nasty.
Replacing them at every oil change seems like a waste of perfectly good plugs to me. There really isn't any advantage having brand new plugs over clean regapped plugs.
