Try cleaning out your throttle body with some intake cleaner. My car was doin that a while ago, and I have an Injen intake. Does your car stall out at all, or just have a bouncy idle? Mine got to the point of stalling, the throttle body was gunked up, I sprayed it with intake cleaner, and the problem was solved in about 10 minutes time. Just take off your intake, spray the cleaner into the throttle body while opening and closing the butterfly with the throttle cable, with the car off, haha. Just extra clarification there, I don't think you're dumb or anything, I'm just making sure my instructions are clearly understood.

I have the same problem. I tried using the K&N instead of the filter that comes with the Injen intake, but didn't work. Guess I'll try that intake cleaner and see if that works.

Not trying to be a smart ass or seem contrary or anything, but the filter that comes with that intake is a K&N. If you read the installation instructions that came with it, you'll see somewhere that it's specified as a K&N, they just put the Injen logo on the end of the filter.

Jon...

Did you installed the little K&N breather filter that we talked about?? That will keep your intake and throttle body very clean...

I know everyone does this but doesnt it get the rest of the engine (outside) all dirty when you do this? ....If so, how much oil/crap/whatever are we talking about here? Dont they have little filters that have catch cans on them too? Where can you get one of those? Reason being for asking all this is that my engine is niccce and clean inside and out right now and I would like to keep it that way as much as possible.

I have yet to see an engine get dirty because of this nad I have installed it on a lot of cars. The catch cans work in a similar way, but the also get the line that goes to the PCV. You can get the little K&N from places like most DSM vendors or maybe even Autozone. It goes for about $5-10 tops...

yeah? yeah? .....uhh welll.... you dont have PIMP leather seats!! so there! lol just messin with ya man. Seriously though I bet if I went to a track I could drop a full second off 1/4 times by just taking all the unneeded shit out of my car (system, leather seats, unacessable spare tire, tool kit--every dsm has to have one)

what was this thread about again?? intake and idle surge... TONS of people have this problem, we dont know what causes it. Shit I rebuilt most of the motor with one of the main goals being to find out what causes that. And it still does it!! Some people benifit from resetting their ecu (just disconnect the battery for a while to do it.) I didnt though... good luck!
