I did it, I got the 93 4g63 in my 91 GSX(flawlessly)!!! It runs great, but it does not move. :( When you put it in gear(any gear, this is a A/T ) it does not move and the pump does not pump A/T fluid ether. When i got the 93 4g63 it did not come with the little round drive plate spacers, and i could not find any around here, so i put in 1/16 washers instead (because the 91 drive plate spacers were 1/16 thick i though they would be the same). How thick are the 93 drive plate spacers, because i was thinking that maybe the torkconverter is not back all the way against the tranny so the pump would not be ingaged(or does the pump go bad often on these)?
The trany worked before i took it out to rebuilt the engine so it should work now. Any suggestions? What do you thank is wrong here???
O, and when i put it into gear it makes this electronic buzzing noise, and i put in a new filter and a/t fluid because the tranny set in my wet basement for about 5 months and it meldews real bad doun there and i though the oil mite of got kind of sludgie.
