i need some ideas of a good place to mount my new super-afc. i was thinking of buying a new radio and illiminating the stock c.d player mounting the s-afc in the hole where the c.d player was.

-any info would be thankful.

Common spots are in the center vent on the dash or below an aftermarket radio. Uncommon spots are on the visor, or in the doem light housing. Semi-common spots are on top the steering column. Mine is in my center vent... No complaints other than its a little "visible" for my liking.

I'm a firm believer in keeping things hidden that are attractive to theives :)

The cord is long enough to pull the whole thing out while tuning.
Unless you like flashing lights, you don't "need" to see it all the time.

Mine's in the visor and is almost completely hidden when the visor's flipped up. I don't adjust it unless I'm not moving so it works fine for me.

Mark PPG that is a damn good idea. Is that a custom plastic piece in there? I want to keep my stuff hidden but had no idea where to put it.

Nope, nothing custom at all.
15 minutes with the dremmel is all it took. You have to get the depth just right, or the lid of the center console will hit it.

turbotrix.com sells the center vent AFC/gauge holder for $40.
EGT stands for exhaust gas temperature.
