keeps blowing fuse

91 eclipse awd gsx blows 15 amp fuse under dash (no cover so I dont know how it is labeled). When this happens abs light comes on, power windows stop working, a/c blower stops working, turn signals stop working (hazard flashers still work). Does all this run on a 15 amp fuse? I have been told there is a short to ground. Where do I look for it. At first when i replaced the fuse it worked for awhile, but now as soon as I turn key on fuse blows. Any suggestions appreciated.

yes, sounds like a short in the ground. check ALL of your wires, every last one of them. hehe just kiddin, check the ones coming from your ignition, or any of them wires on the ECU.

looks like it is time to pull out the volt meter or test light. if you have an alarm system check all those wires first to see if any of them are shorted out. ill check my fuse box tomorrow morning and tell you what the 15 amp ones are they should be bule so you will know where to look for the shorts, off of the fuse box.

It could also be a bad component dead shorting. Maybe a bad power window motor, etc. The first thing you need to do is find out what that fuse runs. Your owner's manual will have a complete list, and I cannot help you without that information.

BTW, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING A HIGHER RATED FUSE IN THERE! FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!

Um, that's not really possible. I think you misworded that. If it was a short in the ground it would just be grounded again, get it :D

I fixed this problem, it was the cig lighter shorting out the fuse. My other problems are still not fixed. I have checked every fuse and fusible link I can find on the car and all were o.k.
