what size are the bulbs that light up the gauge cluster? some of the bulbs seem to be out and the gauges look pretty ugly at night.
i tried a search and no one seemed to know the answer, they just went on talking about custom LED lighting and changing the color: i want to keep my gauges stock;)

I dont know the size but if you go to any respected auto parts store they have application guides for their bulbs. In short if you go to O'reileys, Advance Auto Parts, Autozone, (somewhere like this), and ask a clerk and they can get you the correct sized bulbs.

I have seen those application guides and I don't think I have ever seen the dash lights in there. It is mainly the dome light and then all of the exterior signal lights.

Your best bet is to probably pull one of the bulbs and take it in to try and match it to something in the store.

194 is correct for 1g's. You could also try 68. Same as the side marker lights.

For 1Gs, isn't the 194 of some special type that comes with the little gray screw in piece attached to the bulb? I think I remember pulling out a burnt bulb and it said "Don't remove bulb" or something like that.

Nope. I've personally replaced all the larger bulbs in my gauge cluster before. They were 68's, but 194's are the same size, maybe a different wattage, I'm not sure, but 194's are the only ones that I found that were colored.
