Ok my problem is that now after unplugging the clutch switch my horn button doesnt work now. The horn itself works because I can hit the panic button on my remote and the horn will go off. Anyone have any ideas on what or why this has happened? I need my horn because I get people cutting me off now and I can do anything to them now.

ok I dont think disconnecting the clutch switch(?) has anything to do with this. Take apart the horn button and see if its letting voltage to it with a volt meter. the switch itself may just be burnt out. also check all wiring. maybe a wire got disconnected and just needs to be soldered. Fuse maybe? later

Are you sure you disconnected the right switch? These problems are the easiest to fix usually if it was working fine and now it doesn't you should have a good starting point of where to check.:dunno:

Well the horn worked for a little while after the switch was disconnected so its not that. And how do I get to the horn button with out damaging the airbag system?

If you don't have one already I suggest you buy the DSM manual or go here and get this. Worth every penny if you like doing things yourself. :hail:

Messing with air bags is a dangerous activity. What you need is the service manual and then follow what it says to do exactly. Personally, I'm not about to give anyone instructions via the Internet on how to handle explosives.
I have two separate horns on my 96 with the factory alarm. One horn just for the alarm and one regular one. It's gone out 3 times, and it sounds like it's dying again. The problem is the shitty location it's mounted in, as it gets splashed with water and all sorts of other crap, which eventually shorts out or otherwise ruins the horn.
If that's not the problem, have you checked all the basics first like the fuses for the horn?

Well its not the horn buttons on the steering whell and its not the horn itself because I clean the connections from the behind the buttons and the horn goes off when I hit the panic button. So what else can it be? Where is the fuse for the horn? Is it under the hood or is it in the foot well? If its in the foot well can someone tell me where the fuse is. I dont have a cover for the one in the foot well. Also if it is one of the ones under the hood how can you tell if its blown?

If I remember right, it's in the footwell. There aren't that many fuses in there--I'd just start pulling them and checking to see if they're blown. If one is blown, just replace it and see if that fixes your problem. Some of the fuses under the hood can be checked just by looking at them as well. When I mentioned that my car has two horns, I wasn't referring to two horn buttons, but two physical horns. My regular horn has gone out before, but my alarm horn continues to work because they are two separate phyical horns. So I wouldn't put much stock in the fact that your alarm still works, because I believe it uses a different horn.

There is a clearly labeled horn fuse and relay in the engine bay. But if the horn works with your panic button, then it can't be the fuse.
Do you have 2 horns? One for the alarm and one for the horn?
You can test that the horn contact on the steering wheel is working by testing for voltage on the two wires that connect to the horn when you push the horn contact. If you see a voltage when you push the horn, then it is the horn or the wire terminals that are malfunctioning. If you don't see a voltage here then you will have to test further up in the system. Best place would be at the connector in the steering column.

Well still dont know whats wrong with the horn. Just the other day my horn starts going off and just stays on like if you just kept your hands on the horn button. Also then the alarm horn goes off at the same time. I had to take the fuse out from the engine bay to get to stop. So both horns work but so whT should I check for now? What color wires are the horn wires under the steering column and where do they run from and to under there?
