the best thing that i can think of my self is a 4g63 motor swap which is what i am currently working on. I found on Ebay a Cyclone 4g63 out of a galant from japan but it is still non turbo. But now those civics will not walk me. Plus with turbo manafold, piping, intercooler, and of corse turbo anything can happen. Suspension, Eibach makes a proline and sportline spring kit for the 1.8 Which I sell email me or call me at 4108666400 ask for Charles and will see if i cant help you out. Need rims i got great prices on Centerline Ultra light 17x7 for our cars (13 lbs.). tell your friends

Best thing you can do you all think is buy a valve chewer crank walking son of a *****? You all are wrong on this situation, everyone of you. I can't believe you thickness people, come on now lets get real. The 1.8 is capable of well over 200 HP, it didn' come out of some factory with different kind of metals. It came out of the factory with a slightly different bore and a shorter stroke. So what can we do to make our cars faster? Strap on a turbo, with the proper vacume lines/oil-water hook ups and go from there. I mean seriously guys you think its harder then it really is. Yeah you can have yourself a damn 4G63 that you can't tune your own ignition, that you can't make advance without some little electronic program. Even if you want to go turbo on the 2.0 it isn't much easier. On the 2.0 you'll have to get a knock sensor, and get a ecm again. How stupid is this crap!? I mean seriously. And then your going to drop a 2.0 in your car that is half as reliable as a 1.8 engine. I mean I can understand you don't want to get walked on by civics, but if you drop a 2.0 NT, then you'll still want power. You know why? Because you'll get walked on my GSX's, and GST's. Now what? Now you have to buy a damn turbo kit when you could have done that with the 1.8 and have been in the same damn boat. Does this make sense to anyone? I hope it does.

Fast 1.8 I stand corrected and thank you for the advice do you think that i would be better off w/ my 1.8 and rebuild which is still in my talon then go w/ the 2.0

NO I think you should buy a good Japanese Exchange engine, and have it sent to you. ANd then when it gets to you go from there. I got my Japanese exchange for 580 bucks. Yeah, only 580 bucks. That is how much it will cost you for your machining for your rebuild. Keep your engine, put JE's in it down the road, and build the head up for higher rpms, then get yourself some crowers. And go from there! Serious dude.

Hello, DrivnMastr,
I'd like some info about pricing on the centerline lightweight rims you mentioned. E-mail me your name and phone number privately at nospampatricklaw@mindspring.com. Remove the "nospam" from the front of the address, please, before sending.
Thanks!

i would work on suspension first, but thats just me. i am runing AGX's and sportlines with a pilot motorsports STB and a progress (i think) rear sway bar, i have the front i just havent put it on. also i would put some good rubber on your wheels, it makes a huge difference im running 205/40/zr17 falken GRbeta's and they stick like glue. all and all with the mods that i have done the car handles like a dream. as for the engine, i would recomend a rebuild of a new engine, i would do it but im broke cause i keep buying suspension goodies. i found that a hard pipe intake and an open air K&N filter does wonders for power throughout the range. i modified a 2g intake pipe and just put the factory can top with the exposed filter on it. unorthodox racing makes underdrive pulleys and there is rumor of an adjustable cam gear but im not sure of that (neigher of which i have tried or seen in person). there is always an exaust but i havent put one on so i dont know if there is any noticible difference in performance.
hope this helps
feel free to pm me with any questions you may have

I really don't see any need for an adjustable cam gear on a 1.8. You can't change overlap or anything on a single cam engine.

back from the past......
you can use the 2.0 cam gear on the 1.8 you just have to toss the plastic cover ....
