Well, i had these two fools over at my house cause they were nice enough to try and help me replace my headgaskets. When they were distracted i took a few pictures of their rides.
Fu's is the Red one and RYNO's is the Black one

No, they are 17's with 40 meats on them. Tires are thin as hell....yes yes I know. I wish I would have gotten 45-50's. But they are new tires so I will keep them until I need new ones. What do you guys recommend for next time? Maybe I should lower my car an inch or 2?

Hey buddy, your from Salina, me and fu98765 are Soph. at K-State University...I have no idea if thats remotely close to you....but oh well. We are from Olathe Kansas...the both of us! Hit me back, maybe we can meet up sometime...I'm not sure of any other dsm member other than this one guy from Topeka. We'll have to do something some time...meet up at KCIR or Heartland Raceway.

Im a soph at KSU-Salina. KSU DSM Represents! yeah im gonna be at heartland park on Friday night, get your asses down there, maybe we can all car pool or rally up there together or something. I know the user SaLtY is from topeka but I dont know him either, but hell yeah, lets get a gang and run up the heartland. i'll be my first running experience at the track so i'll need some fellow dsmers there to make fun of me and whatnot.

i was in the same way with the last rims i bought....thats why i bought 18's this time.
you dont have to totally slam your car, but at least get an eibach prokit. that wheel gap is freaking huge.

I say lower it and when the next time comes around change the tire size. Unless you got money laying around to just go out and buy another set of tires......... The wheels themselves look good on the car though. Once lowered it shouldnt look quite as bad as it does with the gap.

we've all had the wheel well gap...but as soon as you put springs on, and you lower the car off the jack for the first time, you'll be smiling from ear to ear.

okay, well how much do you think I should lower it, and still be able to drive it around? What is the average drop with out any problems?

nice picture :)
thats a nice sight
I still love the styling of 2G-B's.
I think they are some of the best stock looking cars ever made.
The only thing is that everyone already mentioned.
Holy wheel gap!
And it's your car but I don't like the red around the fogs.

I have trouble with a 1.5" drop. How do you drive with 2? I almost ripped my FMIC, and bumper off a little bit ago in the burger king parking lot. Get a moderate drop, and big rims will hide the rest of the gap.
I like the red on the foglights. It'll draw attention away from the hard core wheel gap. :D

Finally, someone noticed his stupid red foglights. :rudolph: He did those himself. I think he's pretty proud of them :)

imho, an eibach prokit would be perfect. sure, a full 2" drop will look the best but a prokit is perfect for daily driving. nice drop..great handling...just watch out for speed bumps...
