What Year 1.8L???

Heya,

I'm doing an engine swap for a friend, and I'm looking for a 1.8L engine. The problem is that none of the local boneyards have any....


His car is a 1991... what all years 1.8L will fit into his car using his motor mounts/tranny/wireharness? I've found a few 1997-2000 1.8L's from Mirage(s), but thats about it (minus one 1990 with 100K miles for $650 :mad: ).

You can use any DSM 1.8 engine from 1990 to 1994...
If you get a 90 engine, swap over the throttle body of the 91' engine and you'll be set (it's different in that year only)...

You might try to pm miketribal. I know he did a 1.8L-2.0L swap. His 1.8L 4g37 was all motor and according to him it produced around 150hp. Of course he sunk over 2grand into the motor so it might be a little pricey.
