I have oil leaks that just kick my ass all over the garage. LAst week it was the front seal, and about a quart every 50 miles. This week it was the head gasket and about a quart every 50 miles. Now I'm leaking oil somewhere behind the intake manifold and about a pint every 50 miles. Probably the oil pan, but @#$ I'm sick of oil leaks! I can't run Synthetics until I fix all these stupid leaks! All the seals are new, except the oil pan gasket, which according to napa's database was listed as "USE RTV" - and that's what I did. It's a bitch to get the pan off! I'll probably pull the pan tomorrow and try and seal it again, but I don't want any more leaks to open up anywhere else. Anyone had any luck with oil additives?

Fel-Pro makes an oil pan gasket for the 1.8 ltr. engine. A customer of mine got one from Pep Boys for $16 (if I remember correctly). There's also a cork gasket for the oil pan, but you need to torque it carefully to avoid breaking it. Use RTV along with either of those gaskets for more sealing "security"...

We don't have pep-boys in Hawaii :( I'm searching for one now. Pulling the pan on my motor is a pain in the ass. You have to unbolt the turbo from the manifold and remove the crossbar. I think I'll just go under there and tap the edges of the pan with a rubber hammer first and see if maybe I just have a deformed lip somewhere.

Hell Kalani, if you don't want it to leak, I would just put that OEM gasket crap around the outside edge and wedge that crap everywhere in there. Make sure that damn thing never leaks again.
